Fatality at House Fire in Baltimore County

Just after2330 on December30, 2022, west-side Baltimore County units responded to a house fire in the 3700 block of CedarLane in the Gwynn Oak community (Fire Box 3-4). Baltimore County Engine 3 from the Woodlawn Station arrived to fire showing from several windows of a two-story single-family house, with reports of an occupant trapped inside. Pikesville VolunteerFire Company Tower323 located and removed the victim, transferring him to the care of waiting EMS crews. The 25-year-old man was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and tragically died a short while later. Baltimore County fire investigators determined the fire started in the home’s kitchen and was accidental.
