Long Beach Installation

On the night of May 6, 2023, the Long Beach Fire Department held its 113th annual installation of officers. FormerChief and CommissionerScott Kemins was the Masterof Ceremonies, which began with the salute to the Flag, the invocation, and installation of line officers, chiefs, and otherpositions within the department. Awards were given out to members forachieving milestone years of service, performing in life saving situations, and attending a high volume of calls throughout the year. Leading the Long Beach Fire Department in the yearahead will be Hadrick Ray — the Department’s First AfricanAmerican Chief in its 113-yearhistory.
