Paramedic Program graduates largest class in AFC history

We are proud to announce that on Friday, August 18, our EMS Program graduated its largest class yet Thirty-eight students walked across the stage and accepted the charge to provide quality emergency medical care to the citizens in their community Dr William E Crawford, State EMS Medical Director, gave the graduation address and urged the students to stay patientfocused Graduate Jason Ingram gave the Student Address Classes began in April and were hosted at Alabama Fire College, Birmingham Fire & Rescue Service Department, Madison Fire & Rescue, Montgomery Fire/Rescue, and Shelby County Regional Training Center.

Thirty-six of these students passed the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) cognitive exam on the first attempt. Kudos to all of the students and staff for a job well done!

Alabama Firefighter Cancer Support Network needs mentors

At the 2023 United States National Firefighter Challenge Championship, participants will have the opportunity to earn state-only bragging rights! The event will offer tandem and relay team competitions!
