We’re excited to share details for the 2026 Alabama Fire Service Professional Development Conference (also known as the “Mid-Winter Chiefs Conference”) hosted by the Alabama Fire College and the Alabama Fire Chiefs Association. This conference is designed to assist the chief officer with the ever-growing responsibilities of modern fire department management Each year new topics are brought to the forefront through guest speakers and discussions to bring attendees up-to-date on current issues and technology involving the fire service.
The Hyatt Regency Birmingham will host more than 300 attendees for this two-day educational event and vendor expo The vendor expo runs concurrently with the conference on February 1011, with dedicated interaction times scheduled each day.

ISO: Public Protection Classifications class:
This FREE course is intended for individuals to that would like to learn how to lower the Public Protections Classifications (PPC) score for their community The course will teach the calculations necessary to be able to predict PPC based on many factors. The course will cover preparation for a field visit, what documentation is needed, and ways to earn full points. This class will be presented on Monday, February 9 from 9am to 3:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham - The Wynfrey Hotel Registration for the ISO training is separate from conference registration To register for this free training class, visit: https://app alabamafirecollege org/? cid=169221.
