● What is inFintona? ○ inFintona is a LMS (Learning Management System) and Student and Staff portal all in one ○ It includes everything from the School Calendar, to staff information, to student class pages, Courses and information for parents
● How do I login? ○ Use your Fintona Username followed by @fintona.vic.edu.au and your normal password
○ eg// If your name is Alice Smith, your Username is SMIA and so your login name to inFintona is SMIA@fintona.vic.edu.au
● School Calendar ○ You can sync the inFintona School Calendar to your Outlook Calendar or other devices like your mobile
● Timetable ○ You can see your and all other staff's timetable ○ Click on the Timetable icon in the top navigation bar, or search for other staff members, and click on the "Timetable" icon under their name
● Marking the roll ○ This is done via clicking the link "Attendance" at the bottom of each class on your homepage of inFintona
● Resource Booking ○ Booking Laptops – (http://infintona.fintona.vic.edu.au/resource-booking/item) ○ Can book on timetable or specific times, as well as repeat bookings ○ Room bookings (light blue indicates timetabled bookings)
● Searching, looking at students and staff timetables and calendars ○ In the top right hand corner you can click on the search area, type in a person's name or a document name and find what you are after
● News and Daily Bulletin ○ This is found on the home page of inFintona ○ To see all news items, click on the "All" area of the news ○ The News bulletin is also posted on the right hand side of the home page
● “My Subjects” Navigation on left side of inFintona ○ This is where you can see which subjects you are a teacher of, and can click on each class page associated with your class
○ You can also click on the classes via your timetable view
● Components ○ Components are what make up the structure of a page on inFintona. These can be text boxes, files, folder, photos, videos, discussion forums, blogs, links etc...
○ For more in-depth training in how to use components, pages and rights, please speak with Ruth McKinnon (Head of Learning, Teaching and Development), or James Burdan (ICT Manager) or use the Schoolbox help site (more info below)
● Course, Class & Faculty Pages ○ Course Pages are where each subject is defined inside inFintona, summaries of the course, along with units and study material are found here, along with the option to use tasks and assessments under the course builder component. Course Pages are persistent, while courses are linked to their corresponding class page by the teacher each year. ○ Course Pages home is located here: http://infintona.fintona.vic.edu.au/homepage/4 ○ Class pages are a place where the current years students interact with course tasks and assessments, while also participating in discussions and material relevant for that year only. ○ Class Pages are rolled over each year, and Class Pages from previous years are archived, and no longer accessed by Staff or Students. Faculty Pages are pages with material which can be linked to Class or Course pages. These are mostly being replaced by Course Pages.
