Showcasing some of the best food and drink from around the world in 2023, Great Taste Book presents a selection of the 5,904 award-winning products from this year’s Great Taste, which is run by the Guild of Fine Food to champion excellence across a broad range of products and ingredients. Assessed over the course of 89 days, the 1-, 2- and 3-star awards were determined by an independent panel of experts, through our rigorous judging process, seeking out the very best tasting food and drink. Open to producers from across the globe, a total of 14,195 entries were received from 3,609 producers from 109 countries. To help readers navigate these winning products, we have arranged a selection of them into categories, listed here on the right. Each entry includes a web address or social media handle, so you can buy them online or locate local stockists. ABOUT GREAT TASTE

GREAT TASTE EXPLAINED Great Taste is the largest and most trusted accreditation scheme for food and drink producers across the world. It promotes and mentors people crafting fantastic food and delicious drink in businesses large and small. Now in its 30th year, Great Taste is a truly international affair. Receiving 14,195 entries from 3,609 companies in 109 countries in 2023, Great Taste’s reach continues to grow across the world. Judging took place over 89 days across locations in Dorset and London, by a panel of more than 500 industry experts. From critics, chefs, and recipe creators, to buyers, retailers, journalists, broadcasters and experts in the field, every entry was removed from its packaging, and blind-tasted by a minimum of two tables of judges. This year 5,904 entries received either 1-,2- or 3-stars, meaning nearly 60% of the products entered were given no award, but did receive detailed written feedback to help them develop their entries for next year.

What’s more, food lovers seeking out the very best food and drink now recognise and look for Great Taste stars when making purchasing choices. According to research carried out by YouGov, 55% of UK adults are familiar with Great Taste logos on food and drink packaging, and of those who recognise the logo, 56% said it would persuade them to buy a product*. o
