Reflecting on their time at the flat, the owners shared: “It has been remarkably easy to look after, partly because there’s a committee that runs the maintenance, organising the external paint work and keeping the Hall in good order.

The gardeners and window cleaners come, and it has really been great for us as a bolthole, a lock up and go, especially with such a sociable community where people are so willing to pop over and check on things if asked when you are away.” Residents at Stocken Hall can also erect gazebos and marquees to host events in the grounds, for birthdays or family get-togethers for example, with permission from the committee.

Having enjoyed eight years at The Tower, the owners are reluctant to leave, but with an expanding family, require a bigger home. They said: “We will certainly miss the tranquility of the building. It is a solid, calm space and the views are just lovely. It has been a safe, secure place and a treasure over the last few years, with large reception rooms and the blissful outside area. It’s with great reluctance that we put it on the market as we have had such a wonderful time.”
