SELLER INSIGHT

We absolutely love Clifton Village and had lived nearby for a couple of years. We were really keen to move into the centre of the village, so we were thrilled to come along and view this one on this iconic row of properties. It was certainly a wow moment for us as we loved the open plan layout and exciting possibilities for the kitchen, and best of all, it has a wonderful garden that is very hard to come by in this central location,” say the owners.

“We quickly went ahead with implementing our dream plan for the kitchen. We wanted somewhere that would be a sociable and welcoming hub for our friends, as well as a space for large dinner parties. We added a quartz top central island that’s a real statement piece and it’s proven to be even better than we could have wished for as it’s the perfect spot for drinks and a natter before sitting down for dinner. I work from home so spend most of my time in the kitchen and I love spending time in here. I enjoy quiet moments in my egg chair by the window or chatting to friends who pop by for coffee and I will never tire of that wonderful view of the island!”

“The previous owners poured a lot of love into creating a tranquil green oasis in the garden. The bamboo ‘fence’ at the bottom is gorgeous and there are many interesting quirks to be found outside. I adore the little bridge, especially when it’s covered in wisteria blooms, and the large patio area is ideal for summer BBQs under the beautiful magnolia tree. The patio was actually the original scullery in the 1800s and was part of the kitchen before changes were made to the layout. Floor to ceiling windows and doors at the rear of the property flood the space with incredible natural light and really bring the outside in by connecting the garden to the living space.”

“Clifton Village has absolutely everything and it’s a wonderful place to live with fabulous shopping and dining opportunities. Our favourite is Nutmeg - they do the most amazing Indian food - and we also love the wine bar where we have our own locker. It’s a great place to build up a little community of fellow wine enthusiasts and it’s always a lot of fun.”*

Key Features

Outside

The garden enjoys a southerly aspect and is mainly laid to lawn with mature shrub borders, while a stunning Magnolia Tree resides within the side return, offering a great space to seek shade or host a barbeque.

In summary, a beautiful and quirky, rarely available apartment with a lush garden and a super location.

Area Information

It’s easy to see why Clifton Village is known as the most expensive place to live in Bristol. Victorian and Georgian terraced streets, some still cob bled and others with residents squares and gardens make for a picturesque setting.

Artisan and independent boutique shops, good food and drink, easy access to vast green spaces, history and architecture, as well as great schools and good transport links, it’s hard not to love this desirable location.
