“We volunteer at Northampton and Lamport Heritage Railway and we are within easy travelling distance to Northampton Saints Rugby Club, as we are season ticket holders. We joined our local lawn bowls club and have also discovered a passion for archery! There are country parks to explore and pretty walks closer to home, including Abington Park and Eastfield. We enjoy going to the theatre, so we’re spoilt for choice with the Royal and Derngate Theatre here in Northampton, as well as The Castle in Wellingborough. Shopping is great too as we’re close to Riverside and Rushden Lakes.”

“Our garden is a good size and it’s very peaceful as we don’t hear much traffic noise. We’ve put in some nice plants and flowers, and we follow the sun down the length of the garden over the course of the day, so there’s invariably a sunny spot to be found. We hosted a big BBQ where we got together with 30 family members and friends which was a lovely day as we had tasty food, games, and a bouncy castle for the children. We’ve also hosted an archery competition for our lovely neighbours here as the garden is of sufficient size.

“The kitchen is the focal point of our home. We sit by the central island and look out at the garden before heading into the sitting room in the evening when we put the log burner on and watch tv. Very nice! We also like to relax in the big chairs in the dining room as they’re super comfortable and again, we can take in those lovely views of the garden.”
