This truly delightful bungalow enjoys an exceptional location within Glamorgan’s Heritage Coastline. Part of the house overlooks the channel, with panoramic views to the Gower coastline and over to Somerset and Devon, whilst the other part of the house looks out onto the adjacent meadows often grazed by sheep and cattle. Set in a quiet, tranquil road with hardly any passing traffic, it offers an idyllic setting, yet close to essential amenities.

The present owner lived in another part of Wales and was house hunting to live closer to her family. This house in such a magical location ticked all the boxes and she came to live here ten years ago. Built around 1958, its style and décor were somewhat tired but, once the owner had undertaken many hidden, essential, tasks, replaced the kitchen and bathrooms, alongside other enhancements and practicalities, the house took on a new life. It is very much a home styled to embrace its surroundings and is full of natural light. The entrance door leads into a welcoming and spacious bright hall from which other rooms spin off, whilst the sunshine filled main living/dining space has been cleverly designed to provide the very best outlook. This special room is very much favoured by friends and family when they come to visit.

Patio doors open out into the garden which is mainly laid to lawn but contains quite lovely herbaceous plants which bring colour and interest through the year. It is a garden in which to totally relax and enjoy the view, whatever time of year it is always a delight. Drifting down to the end of the garden is a dry stone wall, which the owner often refers to this as ‘her infinity ocean’ view.

Everything is close at hand, or within convenient distance. The primary school is within easy reach, with transport from the village to the larger schools. The local coastline is often referred to as a hidden gem and walking in the area offers many options and, from the house it is so easy to reach the nearby sandy beach. The golf course is close by, as is the popular Margam Country Park.

The house has now outlived the owner’s requirements and it is time for her to move. She will miss so many things about living here, not least of which are the enthralling sunsets to be enjoyed throughout the year.”*
