At The Community Foundation, our mission is to improve the quality of life for all in the community. In 2023, the Foundation worked with many donors to establish funds and create planned gifts. Because of the generosity of those donors, and the thousands before them, the Foundation awarded $4.7 million to deserving nonprofits and students last year.
The Community Foundation can rise to the challenges in Hancock County because of those donors, grant recipients and partners who join us in addressing the changing needs in our community. These challenges are not issues we can address alone, and we are at our best when all of us come together to make a difference.
One way we’re working to ensure we can continue to address these needs is through our Funding Forever initiative. The Foundation is working with professional advisors to educate the community on the importance of estate planning and how planned giving can play a role. By creating a plan now, generous donors are ensuring Hancock County will have Funding Forever. We look forward to partnering to use that funding to create a lasting impact in the community.
Sincerely,
