At The Community Foundation, our mission to improve the quality of life for everyone in Hancock County is a commitment we’ve made to you, and one we undertake alongside you. It’s truly inspiring to witness the profound impact that generosity, partnership and a shared vision can achieve.
Because of the incredible kindness of our donors, both those new to our work and the thousands who have built this legacy of giving before us, we are able to make significant investments in our community every year. These contributions empower deserving nonprofits and students, translating into tangible improvements right here at home. This report gives an overview of what we accomplished together in 2024.

The Community’s Endowment
Comprised of Common Good and Field of Interest funds, this pool is used by the Foundation board and staff to award responsive grants based on the community’s emerging needs, like the childcare facilities, a low barrier shelter and new vehicles for a fixed-route transportation system.
