HOW TO FIX TO WOOD & BRICK

Fixing to wood:

Step 1 - Drill a straight 13mm hole into the wood. Step 2 - Hammer a T Nut into the back of the wood (available below). Step 3 - Repeat steps 1 and 2 in order to create a good number of holes for placing your holds. Step 4 - Secure the wood to the wall and bolt your holds on.

Fixing to brick:

Step 1 - Drill a straight 12mm x 40mm hole into a solid wall. Step 2 - Hammer the expansion socket into place, fush with the wall. Step 3 - Firmly hit the centre of the socket a number of times to make it expand. Step 4 - Fix the hold to the socket ensuring that it is unable to move or pull out. Note - you may have a number of different length bolts (longer bolts for deeper holds and shorter bolts for shallower holds).

WET POUR

With thicknesses available from 20mm to140mm, Wet Pour Rubber Safety Surfacing is suitable for all playground installations where impact absorbent surfacing is a requirement, up to the appropriate Maximum Free Fall Height. It can be used around complex conﬁgurations of playground equipment and ground contour. Colourful graphics can be created within the Wet Pour rubber surfacing to any attractive theme you choose in order to enhance and add play value to your playground. Games can also be added such as hopscotch, snakes and ladders, alphabet snakes, etc.

ECO-TUMBLE

Playscape Safety Grass is a honeycomb matting that is installed onto grass to provide impact-absorbing protection. It is easy to install, competitively priced and unobtrusive. Once installed it virtually disappears as the turf grows through its cells, whilst continuing to provide impactabsorbing protection. Wheelchair friendly, Playscape Safety Grass can also be used for highwearing walkways across grass to protect against erosion.

Eco-Tumble is a hardwearing, continuous rubber, impact-absorbing surfacing made from shredded recycled rubber, which is combined with a binder on site. It is laid onto existing grass or soil, without the need for a concrete foundation and when laid will follow the natural contours of the ground. Eco-Tumble has been tested by the Centre for Sports Technology. Eco-Tumble surfacing is available in Black, Green, Brown and Blue - or any combination to create a ﬂeck.

BARK

Bark is initially the most cost-effective safer surfacing available. Playground Bark is specially selected conifer bark, screened to offer a consistent particle size that provides optimum impact energy absorption to protect youngsters at play. You can achieve good fall height protection through bark pits which will require regular maintenance. 200mm deep pits are required as a minimum (subject to the certiﬁed fall height of bark) and its low density-to-volume ratio renders it impractical for children to use as a missile!
