chairman’s statement On behalf of the Board of Directors, I present to you the fifth Annual Report of Insurance House PSC (IH).

At the outset, I would like to take a moment to thank our founders, shareholders and all those who spare no effort to further develop and grow Insurance House into a successful enterprise that is focused on exceeding customers’ expectations and maximizing shareholders’ wealth.

For the financial year ended 31 December 2016, IH has registered a Total Comprehensive Loss of AED 5.28 million, which is significantly lower than the Total Comprehensive Loss of AED 18.15 million registered during the previous financial year ended 31 December 2015. It is gratifying to note that throughout 2016, the core insurance business maintained its robust recovery momentum by registering a Net Underwriting Income of AED 21.30 million, which is nearly double the size of the Net Underwriting Income of AED 11.01 million registered in 2015. This dramatic turnaround in underwriting results is directly attributable to a series of corrective actions initiated by the IH Management under the active guidance of the IH Board, focused on streamlining underwriting procedures, changing the product mix and tightening the claims assessment & settlement processes.

Gross Premiums Written (GPW) during the 12 month period ended 31 December 2016 grew by an impressive 26.3% to AED 159.84 million, compared to AED 126.51 million underwritten during the previous reporting period ended 31 December 2015. Net Premium Earned surged by 33.8% in 2016 to AED 104.94 million, compared to AED 78.41 million in the previous year. Net Claims Incurred in 2016 as a percentage of Gross Underwriting Income dropped further by 5.3 percentage points to 81.2% compared to 86.5% in the previous year. Our Technical Provisions as of 31 December 2016 are fully compliant with the UAE Insurance Authority’s New Regulations, as confirmed by an independent actuary.

All of these are very positive and encouraging developments that bear testimony to the fact that the revised strategies put into action are working well as intended.

Since inception, IH’s Investment Strategy continues to be well thought out, clearly documented and professionally managed.

Despite significant levels of volatility in local and global equity & debt capital markets during the year, net income from investing activities during 2016 soared by 326% to AED 9.35 million compared to AED 2.87 million in the previous year. It is pertinent to point out that IH’s well diversified Investment Portfolio is now fully compliant with the revised Investment Guidelines issued by the UAE Insurance Authority that comes into force with effect from 29 January 2017.

Liquidity position remains exceptionally strong with Cash & Cash Equivalents plus bank fixed deposits maturing within 30 days (Liquid Assets) accounting for an enviable 36.45% of Total Assets. Total Assets as of 31 December 2016 aggregated to AED 217.24 million.

General, Administrative and Other Operating expenses for the 12 month period ended 31 December 2016 were higher by 12.2% at AED 35.93 million compared to AED 32.04 million during the previous year. We believe this is reasonable for a full-fledged insurance operation that has registered a top-line growth of 26.3% during 2016, covering our Abu Dhabi headquarters and 5 operational branches located in Dubai, Sharjah, Al Samha, Mussafah and Mahawi.

12% of the Company’s current workforce comprises of UAE nationals, manifesting our continued commitment to the development of UAE nationals in the insurance sector.

Despite challenging market conditions, we remain optimistic of our profitable growth potential in 2017 and beyond. Our strategy is to compete on the basis of innovative product offerings and superior service quality.

Going forward, enhanced profits from core insurance activities will continue to be driven by careful fine tuning of our risk underwriting policies & capabilities and through further streamlining of our claims management procedures.

independent auditor’s report Opinion We have audited the financial statements of Insurance House P.S.C - Public Joint - Stock - Abu Dhabi which comprise the statement of financial position as at December 31, 2016, the statements of income and other comprehensive income, changes in equity and cash flows for the year then ended, and notes, comprising significant accounting policies and other explanatory information.

In our opinion, the accompanying financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Company as at 31 December 2016, and its financial performance and its cash flows for the year then ended in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Misstatements can arise from fraud or error and are considered material if, individually or in the aggregate, they could reasonably be expected to influence the economic decisions of users taken on the basis of these financial statements.

As part of an audit in accordance with ISAs, we exercise professional judgment and maintain professional skepticism throughout the audit. We also: •

Identify and assess the risks of material misstatement of the financial statements, whether due to fraud or error, design and perform audit procedures responsive to those risks, and obtain audit evidence that is sufficient and appropriate to provide a basis for our opinion. The risk of not detecting a material misstatement resulting from fraud is higher than for one resulting from error, as fraud may involve collusion, forgery, intentional omissions, misrepresentations, or the override of internal control.

Obtain an understanding of internal control relevant to the audit in order to design audit procedures that are appropriate in the circumstances, but not for the purpose of expressing an opinion on the effectiveness of the Company’s internal control.

Evaluate the appropriateness of accounting policies used and the reasonableness of accounting estimates and related disclosures made by management.

Conclude on the appropriateness of management’s use of the going concern basis of accounting and, based on the audit evidence obtained, whether a material uncertainty exists related to events or conditions that may cast significant doubt on the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern. If we conclude that a material uncertainty exists, we are required to draw attention in our auditors’ report to the related disclosures in the financial statements or, if such disclosures are inadequate, to modify our opinion. Our conclusions are based on the audit evidence obtained up to the date of our auditors’ report. However, future events or conditions may cause the Company to cease to continue as a going concern.

Evaluate the overall presentation, structure and content of the financial statements, including the disclosures, and whether the financial statements represent the underlying transactions and events in a manner that achieves fair presentation.

Basis for Opinion We conducted our audit in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs). Our responsibilities under those standards are further described in the Auditors’ Responsibilities for the Audit of the Financial Statements section of our report. We are independent of the Company in accordance with the ethical requirements that are relevant to our audit of the financial statements in United Arab Emirates, and we have fulfilled our other ethical responsibilities in accordance with these requirements. We believe that the audit evidence we have obtained is sufficient and appropriate to provide a basis for our opinion.

Responsibilities of Management and Those Charged with Governance for the Financial Statements Management is responsible for the preparation and fair presentation of the financial statements in accordance with IFRS, and for such internal control as management determines is necessary to enable the preparation of financial statements that are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error.

In preparing the financial statements, management is responsible for assessing the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern, disclosing, as applicable, matters related to going concern and using the going concern basis of accounting unless management either intends to liquidate the Company or to cease operations, or has no realistic alternative but to do so.

1. STATUS AND ACTIVITIES a.

Insurance House P.S.C is a Public Joint - Stock company registered and incorporated in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and is engaged in providing all classes of Non-Life insurance solutions in accordance with UAE Federal Law No 6 of 2007. The company was established on 8 December 2010 and commenced its operations on 10 April 2011. The company performs its activities through its head office in Abu Dhabi and branches located in Al Samha, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Mussafah and Mahawi.

b.

The company’s ordinary shares are listed in the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.

c.

The registered office of the company is P.O. Box 129921 Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

d.

Activities: The range of products and services offered by the company include but not limited to accidents and civil responsibility insurance, land, marine and air transportation, dangers insurance, health insurance, onshore and offshore oil and gas fields and facilities services.

2. ADOPTION OF NEW AND REVISED INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS (IFRSs) a. In the current year, the company has adopted the new and revised International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) including the International Accounting Standards (IASs) and their interpretations that are relevant to its operations and effective for annual reporting years beginning on 1 January 2016. b. 3. SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES a.

Financial Statements Preparation Framework The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.

b. Statement of compliance The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting standards (IFRS) and applicable requirements of UAE Federal Law No. 6 of 2007 concerning Insurance Companies and Agents. c. Basis of preparation The financial statements have been prepared on the historical cost basis, except for the measurement / revaluation of certain assets and financial instruments at a basis other than the historical cost. The significant accounting policies are set out below. d. Property and equipment The property and equipment are carried in the statement of financial position at their cost less any accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment.

The depreciation charge for each year is recognized in the statement of income. Depreciation is calculated on a straight line basis, which reflects the pattern in which the asset’s future economic benefits are expected to be consumed by the company over the estimated useful life of the assets as follows: USEFUL LIFE

The depreciation charge for each year is recognized in the statement of income. The estimated useful lives, residual values and depreciation method are reviewed at each year-end, with the effect of any changes in estimate accounted for on a prospective basis.

The carrying values of property and equipment are reviewed for impairment when events or changes in the circumstances indicate the carrying value may not be recoverable. If any such indication of impairment exists, impairments losses are calculated in accordance with Note 3 (e).

On the subsequent derecognizing (sale or retirement) of the property and equipment, the resultant gain or loss, being the difference between the net disposal proceeds, if any, and the carrying amount, is included in the statement of income. e. Impairment of tangible assets At each statement of financial position date, the company reviews the carrying amounts of its tangible assets to determine whether there is any indication that those assets have been impaired. If any such indication exists, the recoverable amount of the asset is estimated in order to determine the extent of the impairment loss, if any, being the amount by which the carrying amount of the asset exceeds its recoverable amount. The recoverable amount is the higher of asset’s fair value less costs to sell and the value in use.

The asset’s fair value is the amount for which that asset could be exchanged between knowledgeable, willing parties in arm’s length transaction. The value in use is the present value of the future cash Tflows expected to be derived from the asset. An impairment loss is recognized immediately in the statement of income, unless the relevant asset is carried at a revalued amount, in which case the impairment loss is treated as a revaluation decrease.

Where an impairment loss subsequently reverses, the carrying amount of the asset is decreased to the revised estimate of its recoverable amount, but the increased carrying amount due to reversal should not be more than what the depreciated

historical cost would have been if the impairment had not been recognized in prior years. A reversal of an impairment loss is recognized immediately in the statement of income unless the relevant asset is carried at a revalued amount, in which case the reversal of the impairment loss is treated as a revaluation increase. f.

Financial assets designated at fair value through other comprehensive income (FVTOCI) and through profit and loss (FVTPL)

At initial recognition, the company can make an irrevocable election (on an instrument - by - instrument basis) to designate investments in equity instruments as at FVTOCI. Designation at FVTOCI is not permitted if the equity investments is held for trading.

The classification depends on the nature and purpose of the financial assets and is determined at the time of initial recognition.

Investments in equity instruments at FVTOCI are initially measured at fair value plus transaction costs. Subsequently, these are measured at fair value with gains and losses arising from changes in fair value recognized in other comprehensive income and accumulated in the investments revaluation reserve.

Financial assets are classified as FVTPL when they are held for trading which means they have been acquired principally for the purpose of selling in the near future. Financial assets of FVTPL are stated at their fair value, subsequent gains and losses arising from changes in fair value are recognized in statement of income. g. Financial assets designated at amortized cost The classification depends on the nature and purpose of the financial assets and is determined at the time of initial recognition or subsequent reclassification as the case may be.

Financial assets designated at amortized cost include debt instruments with fixed or determinable payments and fixed maturity dates that the company has the positive intent and ability to hold to collect contractual cash flows representing periodic repayments of principal and / or interest.

Cash comprises unrestricted cash in bank current and call accounts and bank fixed deposit. Cash equivalents are short term, highly liquid investments that are readily convertible to known amounts of cash and which are subject to an insignificant risk of changes in value.

Investments are measured at amortized cost using the effective interest method less impairment. The effective interest method is a method of calculating the amortized cost of a financial asset and of allocating interest income over the relevant year by discounting estimated future cash inflows through the expected life of the financial asset.

ii. Insurance receivables

h. Impairment of financial assets Financial assets, other than those at FVTPL, are assessed for indicators of impairment at the end of each year. For financial assets carried at amortized cost, the amount of the impairment is the difference between the asset’s carrying amount and the present value of estimated future cash flows, discounted at the original effective interest rate. The carrying amount of the financial asset is reduced by the impairment loss directly for all financial assets.

With the exception of financial assets designated at fair value through other comprehensive income (FVTOCI), if, in a subsequent year, the amount of the impairment loss decreases due to an event occurring after the impairment was recognized, the previously recognized impairment loss is reversed through profit or loss to the extent that the carrying amount of the investments at the date the impairment is reversed does not exceed what the amortized cost would have been had the impairment not been recognized. i.

Statutory reserve

Pursuant to the Company’s Articles of Association, 10% of net profit for the year to be withheld annually and retained in the statutory reserve account. The deduction shall be suspended when the balance in this reserve account amounts to at least 50% of the company’s capital and is not available for distribution to shareholders’. j.

Financial assets

Financial assets are classified into the following specified categories: financial assets designated at fair value through other comprehensive income (FVTOCI), financial assets designated at fair value through profit or loss (FVTPL), financial assets designated at amortized cost, ‘loans and receivables and cash and cash equivalents. The classification depends on the nature and purpose of the financial assets and is determined at the time of initial recognition or subsequent reclassification as the case may be. i.

Cash and cash equivalents

Insurance receivables are stated at net realizable value. When an insurance receivable is uncollectible, it is written off against the allowance account. Subsequent recoveries of amounts previously written off are credited against the allowance account. Changes in the carrying amount of the allowance account are recognized in the statement of income. iii. Loans and receivables Loans and receivables includes insurance and other receivables.

Insurance receivables that either have or do not have a fixed or determinable payments and are not quoted in an active market, and other receivables are stated at net realizable value. The carrying values are not materially different from their fair values. k. Related parties Related parties are considered to be related because they have the ability to exercise control over the company or to exercise significant influence or joint control over the company’s financial and operating decisions. Further, parties are considered related to the company when the company has the ability to exercise control, significant influence, or joint control over the financial and operating decisions of those parties. Transactions with related parties, normally, comprise of transfer of resources, services, or obligations between the parties. At the statement of financial position date, the related parties receivables and payables are stated at net realizable value. l.

Treasury shares

Treasury shares consist of the company’s own shares that have been issued, subsequently repurchased by the company and not yet reissued or cancelled. These shares are accounted for using the cost method. Under the cost method the average cost of the share repurchased is shown as deduction from the total shareholder’s equity. When these shares are reissued, gains are credited to a separate capital reserve in shareholders’ equity, which is non -distributable. Any realized losses are charged directly to retained earnings. Gains realized on the sale of reissued shares are first used to offset any previously recorded losses in the order of retained earning and the capital reserve account. No cash dividend are paid on these shares.

m. Financial liabilities Financial liabilities includes borrowings from banks, insurance contract liabilities and Insurance and other payables. Insurance payables that have fixed or determinable payments that are not quoted in an active market and other payables are stated at cost.

The carrying values are not materially different from their fair value. n. Borrowing costs Borrowing costs include interest on bank borrowings, amortization of discounts or premiums on borrowings, amortization of ancillary costs incurred in the arrangement of borrowings, and finance charges on finance leases.

Borrowing costs are expensed in the year in which they are incurred. o. End of service benefits obligation End of service benefits obligation for employees is accounted for in accordance with U.A.E. Labour Law. p. Revenue recognition Recognition and measurement Insurance contracts are classified into two main categories, depending on the duration of risk and whether or not the terms and constitutions are fixed.

These contracts are casualty and property insurance contracts.

Casualty insurance contracts protects the company’s customers against the risk of causing harm to third parties as a result of their legitimate activities. Damages covered include both contractual and non contractual events. The typical protection offered is designed for employers who become legally liable to pay compensation to injured employees (employers liability) and for individual and business customers who become liable to pay compensation to a third party for bodily harm or property damage (public liability).

Property insurance contracts mainly compensate the company’s customers for damage suffered to their properties or for the value of property lost. Customers who undertake commercial activities on their premises could also receive compensation for the loss of earnings caused by the inability to use the insured properties in their business activities (business interruption cover).

For all these insurance contracts, premium are recognized as revenue (earned premiums) proportionally over the year of coverage. The portion of premium received on in force contracts

that relates to unexpired risks at the financial position date is reported as the unearned premium liability.

Claims and loss adjustments expenses are charged to profit or loss as incurred based on the estimated liability for compensation owed to contracts holders or third parties damaged by the contracts holders.

Re-insurance contracts held Contracts entered into by the company with reinsurers under which the company is compensated for losses on one or more contracts issued by the company and that meet the classification requirements of reinsurance contracts are classified as reinsurance contracts held. Contracts that do not meet these classification requirements are classified as financial assets.

Insurance contracts entered into by the company under which the contract holder is another insurer are included with insurance contracts. The benefits to which the company is entitled under its re-insurance contract held is recognized as re-insurance contract assets. The company assesses its re-insurance contract assets for impairment on a regular basis. If there is objective evidence that the re-insurance contract asset is impaired, the company reduces the carrying amount of the re-insurance contract assets to its recoverable amount and recognizes that impairment loss in the profit or loss. Amounts recoverable from or due to reinsurers are measured consistently with the amounts associated with the reinsured insurance contracts and in accordance with the terms of each reinsurance contract.

Technical provisions Insurance contract liabilities towards outstanding claims are made for all claims intimated to the company and still unpaid at the end of the reporting year, in addition to claims incurred but not reported. The unearned premium considered in the insurance contract liabilities comprise the estimated proportion of the gross premiums written which relates to year of insurance policy subsequent to the financial position date and is estimated using the time proportionate method (1/365). The unearned premium calculated by the above method (after reducing the reinsurance share) as required by insurance Authority Board of Directors’ Decision No. (25) of 2014 pertinent to Financial Regulation for Insurance Companies.

The re-insurers’ portion towards the above outstanding claims, claims incurred but not reported and unearned premium is classified as re-insurance contract assets in the financial statements.

Salvage and subrogation reimbursements Estimates of salvage and subrogation reimbursements are considered as an allowance in the measurement of the insurance liability for claims.

Receivables and payables related to insurance contracts Receivables and payables are recognized when due. These include amounts due to and from agents, brokers and insurance contract holders.

If there is objective evidence that the insurance receivable is impaired, the company reduces the carrying amount of the insurance receivable accordingly and recognizes that impairment loss in profit or loss.

Interest income Interest income from bank call account, fixed deposits and bonds are accrued on a time basis, by reference to the principal outstanding and at the interest rate applicable. q. Foreign currencies The financial statements are presented in the UAE Dirhams (AED) which is the company’s functional currency. In preparing the financial statements, transactions in currencies other than the company’s functional currency (foreign currencies) are recorded at the rates of exchange prevailing at the dates of the transactions. At each statement of financial position date, monetary items denominated in foreign currencies are retranslated at the rates prevailing at the statement of financial position date (closing rate). Non-monetary items that are measured in terms of historical cost in a foreign currency are translated using the exchange rate at the date of the transaction.

Non-monetary items that are measured at fair value in foreign currency are translated using the exchange rates at the date when the fair value was determined.

Exchange differences arising on the settlement of monetary items or on translating monetary items at rates different from those at which they were translated on initial recognition during the year or in previous financial statements shall be recognized in the statement of income in the year in which they arise. r.

Contingent liabilities

Contingent liabilities are possible obligations depending on whether some uncertain future events occur, or they are present obligations but payments are not probable or the amounts cannot be measured reliably. s. Critical accounting judgments and key sources of estimation uncertainty The estimates and underlying assumptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions to accounting estimates are recognized in the year in which the estimate is revised if the revision affects

only that year, or in the year of the revision and future years if the revision affects both current and future years. i.

The ultimate liability arising from claims made under insurance contracts

The estimation of ultimate liability arising from the claims made under insurance contracts is the company’s most critical accounting estimate. There are sources of uncertainty that need to be considered in the estimate of the liability that the company will eventually pay for such claims. Estimates have to be made at the end of the reporting year both of the expected ultimate cost of claims reported as well as the expected ultimate cost of claims incurred but not reported (“IBNR”). Liabilities for unpaid reported claims are estimated using the input of assessments for individual cases reported to the company and management estimates based on past claims settlement trends for the claims incurred but not reported. At the end of each reporting year, prior year claims estimates are reassessed for adequacy and changes are made to the provision.

Provision for the premium which represents the portion of the premium subsequent to the financial statement date and where the premium is expected to be insufficient to cover anticipated claims, have been considered under the unexpired risk reserves (“URR”) and booked under allocated and unallocated loss adjustments in the income statement. ii. Liability adequacy test At the end of each reporting year, liability adequacy tests are performed to ensure the adequacy of insurance contract liabilities. The company makes use of the best estimates of future contractual cash flows and claims handling and administration expenses, as well as investments income from the assets backing such liabilities in evaluating the adequacy of the liability. Any deficiency is immediately charged to the profit or loss. iii. Provision for doubtful debts Management has estimated the recoverability of trade receivables and has considered the provision required for doubtful receivables, on the basis of prior experience and current economic situations.

18. RISK MANAGEMENT The company monitors and manages the financial risks relating to its business and operations. These risks include insurance risk, capital risk, credit risk, interest rate risk, market risk, foreign currency risk and liquidity risk.

The company seeks to minimize the effects of these risks by diversifying the sources of its capital. It maintains timely reports about its risk management function and monitors risks and policies implemented to mitigate risk exposures. a. Insurance risk The risk under any one insurance contract is the possibility that the insured event occurs and the uncertainty of the amount of the resulting claim. By the nature of an insurance contract, this risk is random and therefore unpredictable.

For a portfolio of insurance contracts where the theory of probability is applied to pricing and provisioning, the principal risk that the company faces under its insurance contracts is that the actual claims and benefit payments exceed the estimated amount of the insurance liabilities. This could occur because the frequency or severity of claims and benefits are greater that estimated. Insurance events are random and the actual number and amount of claims and benefits will vary from year to year from the estimate established using statistical techniques.

Experience shows that the larger the portfolio of similar insurance contracts, the smaller the relative variability about the expected outcome will be. In addition, a more diversified portfolio is less likely to be affected across the board by a change in any subset of the portfolio. The company has developed its insurance underwriting strategy to diversify the type of insurance risks accepted and within each of these categories to achieve a sufficiently large population of risks to reduce the variability of the expected outcome.

The company manages risks through its underwriting strategy, adequate reinsurance arrangements and proactive claims handling. The underwriting strategy attempts to ensure that the underwritten risks are well diversified in terms of type and amount of risk, industry and geography. Underwriting limits are in place to enforce appropriate risk selection criteria. b. Capital risk The company’s objectives when managing capital are: •

To comply with the insurance capital requirements required by UAE Federal Law No. 6 of 2007 concerning

the formation of Insurance Authority of UAE. •

To safeguard the company’s ability to continue as a going concern so that it can continue to provide returns for shareholders and benefits for other stakeholders.

To provide an adequate return to shareholders by pricing insurance contracts commensurately with the level of risk.

In UAE, the local insurance regulator specifies the minimum amount and type of capital that must be held by the company in relation to its insurance liabilities. The minimum required capital (presented in the table below) must be maintained at all times throughout the year.

The company is subject to local insurance solvency regulations with which it has complied with during the year.

c. Credit risk Credit risk refers to the risk that a counterparty will default on its contractual obligations resulting in financial loss to the company.

Key areas where the company is exposed to credit risk are: •

Re-insurers’ share of insurance liabilities.

Amounts due from reinsurers in respect of claims already paid.

•

Amounts due from insurance contract holders.

•

Amounts due from insurance intermediaries (Note 7 (b))

•

Amounts due from banks for its balances and fixed deposits (Note 9 (b & c)).

The company has adopted a policy of only dealing with creditworthy counterparties as a means of mitigating the risk of financial loss from defaults. The company’s exposure and the credit ratings of its counterparties are continuously monitored and the aggregate value of transactions concluded is spread amongst approved counterparties. Credit exposure is controlled by counter party limits that are reviewed and approved by the management annually.

Re-insurance is used to manage insurance risk. This does not, however, discharge the company’s liability as primary insurer. If a re-insurer fails to pay a claim for any reason, the company remains liable for the payment to the policy holder.

The creditworthiness of re-insurers is considered on an annual basis by reviewing their financial strength prior to finalization of any contract.

The company maintains record of the payment history for significant contract holders with whom it conducts regular business. The exposure to individual counterparties is also managed by other mechanisms, such as the right of offset where counterparties are both debtors and creditors of the company. Management information reported to the company includes details of provisions for impairment on insurance receivables and subsequent write offs . Exposures to individual policy holders and groups of policy holders are collected within the ongoing monitoring of the controls. Where there exists significant exposure to individual policy holders, or homogenous groups of policy holders, a financial analysis equivalent to that conducted for re-insurers is carried out by the company.

The carrying amount of financial assets recorded in the financial statements, which is net of impairment losses, represents the company’s maximum exposure to credit risk for such receivables and liquid funds.

d. Interest rate risk Interest rate risk is the risk that the value of a financial instrument will fluctuate due to changes in market interest rate. The company is exposed to interest rate risk on call and fixed deposits, financial assets such as bonds. The interest rates are subject to periodic revisions. e. Market risk Market prices risk is the risk that the value of a financial instrument will fluctuate as a result of changes in market prices, whether those changes are caused by factors specific to the individual instrument or its issue or factors affecting all instruments traded in the market. f.

Foreign currency risk

The company undertakes certain transactions denominated in foreign currencies, which imposes sort of risk due to fluctuations in exchange rates during the year. The UAE Dirham is effectively pegged to the US Dollar, thus foreign currency risk occurs only in respect of other currencies. The company maintains policies and procedures to manage the exchange rate risk exposure. g. Liquidity risk The company’s board of directors adopted an appropriate liquidity risk management framework as the responsibility of liquidity risk management rests with them.

‫ذات مالءة مالية عالية بهدف تخفيف الخسارة التي من الممكن أن‬ ‫ ‬ ‫خطر سعر الفائدة هو الخطر الناتج عن تذبذب قيمة األدوات المالية الناتجة‬ ‫تنتج عن عدم القدرة على سداد تلك االلتزامات‪ .‬تقوم الشركة بمراقبة‬ ‫عن تغير سعر الفائدة في السوق‪ .‬تعرض الشركة لخطر سعر الفائدة في‬ ‫مدى تعرضها مخاطر االئتمان وكذلك مستوى المالءة المالية لألطراف‬ ‫األخرى في العقود الموقعة‪ ،‬باإلضافة إلى أنه يتم التأكد من أن القيمة‬

‫حساب تحت الطلب وودائع ثابتة واالقتراض من البنوك وأصول مالية مثل‬

‫التراكمية لالئتمان موزعة على أطراف موافق عليها من قبل اإلدارة‪.‬‬

‫والناتجة عن تغير أسعار السوق سواء كانت هذه التغيرات نتيجة لعوامل‬

‫محددة في ادوات فردية أو إصداراتها أو عوامل مؤثرة على األدوات التجارية‬

‫التأمين (الجهة المؤمنة)‪ .‬في حال عجزت شركة إعادة التأمين عن‬

‫تسديد أي مطالبة مستحقة فإن الشركة تبقى ملتزمة بتسديد‬

‫تتعرض الشركة لمخاطر سعر السوق المرتبطة في أصول مالية محتفظ‬

‫تلك المطالبة لحامل البوليصة‪ .‬يتم األخذ في عين االعتبار الجدارة‬

‫بها حتى تاريخ االستحقاق والقيمة العادلة من خالل الدخل الشامل اآلخر‪ .‬‬

‫تحتفظ الشركة بسجالت تحتوى على البيانات التاريخية للدفعات‬

‫المحصلة من حاملي بوالص التأمين األساسية والذي يتم التعامل‬

‫معهم في إطار النشاط االعتيادي للشركة‪ .‬كما يتم إدارة المخاطر‬

‫سعر صرف الدرهم اإلماراتي إلى الدوالر األمريكي محدد‪ ،‬لذلك فإن خطر‬

‫االئتمانية لألطراف التعاقدية بشكل فردي من خالل طرق أخرى مثل‬

‫العمالت األجنبية ينتج عن العمالت األخرى فقط‪ .‬تملك الشركة سياسات‬

‫االحتفاط بحق تسوية الحسابات المدينة بالدائنة لذلك الطرف‪ .‬إن‬

‫وإجراءات إلدارة المخاطر المتعلقة بأسعار صرف العمالت األجنبية‪.‬‬

‫التأكد من قيمة المطالبة الناتجة نتيجة لطبيعة عقد التأمين‬ ‫فإن هذه المخاطرة عشوائية وال يمكن التنبؤ بها‪ .‬‬ ‫مجموعة عقود التأمين والي تنطبق عليها نظرية االحتماالت‬ ‫للتسعير والتخصيص تكون أهم المخاطر التي تواجه الشركة‬

‫إن هيئة التأمين في دولة اإلمارات العربية المتحدة‪ ،‬تحدد الحد األدنى‬ ‫لرأس المال ونوعه الذي يجب أن تحتفظ به الشركة‪ ،‬باإلضافة إلى‬ ‫التزامات عقود التأمين‪.‬‬

‫هي أن تتجاوز المبالغ المدفوعة لتسديد المطالبة والفوائد‬

‫يجب االحتفاظ في أي وقت خالل السنة بالحد األدنى لرأس المال‬

‫األخرى المتعلقة بها قيمة التزامات التأمين المدرجة‪ .‬ويمكن أن‬

‫المطلوب (كما هو موضح في الجدول أدناه)‪ .‬إن الشركة خاضعة‬

‫يحدث ذلك بسبب تكرار وارتفاع المطالبات والفوائد المتعلقة‬

‫ألحكام مالءة شركات التأمين المحلية والتي التزمت به خالل السنة‪.‬‬

‫بها وتكون بذلك أعلى من التقديرات المدرجة‪ .‬إن األحدات‬

‫تقوم الشركة باالختبارات الالزمة ضمن سياستها وإجراءاتها للتأكد‬

‫التأمينية عشوائية وإن عدد ومبالغ المطالبات والفوائد المتعلقة‬

‫من استمرارية االلتزامات بتلك األحكام والمتطلبات خالل السنة‪.‬‬

‫بها قد تختلف من سنة ألخرى عن التقديرات المأخوذة بناء على‬ ‫استعمال التقنيات اإلحصائية‪ .‬أظهرت الخبرة السابقة أنه كلما‬

‫يتضمن الجدول أدناه ملخص للحد األدنى المطلوب لرأس المال ومجموع‬ ‫رأس المال المحتفظ به‪:‬‬

‫بإستخدام أفضل التقديرات للتدفقات النقدية التعاقدية‬

‫يتم األخذ في االعتبار العائد المتوقع من الحطام وتعويضات‬

‫االلتزامات الطارئة هي التزامات محتملة تعتمد على احتمالية‬

‫التنازل عند قياس االلتزام لمقابلة المطالبات‪ .‬‬

‫ظهور أحداث مستقبلية غير مؤكدة‪ ،‬أو هي التزامات حالية بدون‬

‫الذمم المدينة والدائنة المتعلقة بعقود التأمين‬

‫ ‬

‫يتم تسجيل الذمم الدائنة والمدينة عند استحقاقها بما فيها‬ ‫االلتزامات من أو إلى الوكالء‪ ،‬الوسطاء وحاملي عقود التأمين‪.‬‬ ‫في حال وجود مؤشر على وجود خسائر في انخفاض قيمة‬

‫يتم عرض البيانات المالية بالعملة التي تستخدمها البيئة‬

‫لعقود التأمين على أنه أكثر التوقعات المحاسبية الحساسة‬

‫االقتصادية األساسية حيث تعمل الشركة (العملة الرئيسية)‪.‬‬

‫للشركة‪ .‬حيث هنالك عوامل غير مؤكدة التي يجيب أخذها‬

‫عند إعداد البيانات المالية‪ ،‬تحول التعامالت التي تتم بعمالت‬

‫باالعتبار عند تقدير االلتزامات التي ستقوم الشركة بتسديده‬

‫أخرى غير العملة الرئيسية (عمالت أجنبية) وبحسب أسعار‬

‫الحقً ا مقابل هذه المطالبات‪ .‬يتم تقدير االلتزامات الناشئة لكل‬

‫الصرف السائدة في تاريخ حدوث التعامالت إلى العملة‬

‫من القيمة المتوقعة لتكاليف المطالبات المبلغ عنها بتاريخ بيان‬

‫الرئيسية‪ .‬وفي تاريخ كل بيان مركز مالي‪ ،‬يتم تحويل البنود‬

‫المركز المالي والقيمة المتوقعة لتكاليف المطالبات المتكبدة‬

‫النقدية المسجلة بعمالت أجنبية إلى العملة السائدة (سعر‬

‫والتي لم يتم اإلبالغ عنها بنهاية فترة التقدير‪ .‬إن االلتزامات‬

‫اإلغالق)‪ .‬أما البنود غير النقدية المقاسة بطريقة التكلفة‬

‫للمطالبات المب ّلغ عنها والتي لم يتم سدادها يتم تقديرها‬

‫التاريخية بعمالت أجنبية فيتم تحويلها باستخدام أسعار‬

‫الدخل الشامل في السنوات التي ظهرت خاللها‪.‬‬

‫األخطار غير المنتهية (‪ )U.R.R‬ويتم تسجيلها في بند مخصص‬ ‫مصاريف تسوية المطالبات‪.‬‬

‫التقرير السنوي لدار التأمين ‪٢٥ 2016‬‬

‫تتمثل عقود التأمين في التأمين ضد الحوادث الشخصية‬

‫معيدي التأمين‪ .‬إن العقود التي ال تتوافق مع متطلبات‬

‫والتأمين على الممتلكات‪.‬‬

‫هذا التصنيف يتم إظهارها كأصول مالية‪ .‬تظهر العقود‬

‫إن التأمين ضد الحوادث الشخصية يتم من خالله حماية‬

‫المبرمة مع جهات تأمين أخرى ضمن عقود التأمين‪ .‬إن‬

‫عمالء الشركة من المخاطر الناتجة عن الضرر الذي يصيب‬

‫المنافع التي تستحق للشركة بموجب عقود معيدي‬

‫طرف ثالث خالل أنشطة يمارسها بشكل طبيعي ومعقول‪.‬‬

‫التأمين يتم االعتراف بها كأصول عقود معيدي التأمين‪.‬‬

‫إن األضرار التي تغطيها عقود التأمين تتضمن كلتا األحداث‬

‫تقوم الشركة بمراجعة أصول عقود معيدي التأمين بصورة‬

‫التي تم التعاقد عليها والتي لم يتم التعاقد عليها‪ .‬إن‬

‫منتظمة لتحديد خسائر تدني القيمة‪ .‬إذا كان هناك دالالت‬

‫الحماية المثالية المقدمة يتم تصميمها ألصحاب العمل‬

‫كافية على انخفاض قيمة أصول عقود معيدي التأمين‬

‫الذي قد يصبحون ملزمين قانون ًيا بتسديد تعويضات‬

‫تقوم الشركة بتخفيض قيمة هذه األصول إلى القيمة‬

‫الموظفين لمتضررين (التزامات أصحاب العمل) وألشخاص أو‬

‫القابلة لالسترداد وتدرج خسائر انخفاض القيمة في الربح‬

‫عمالء الذين قد يصبحون ملزمين بتسديد تعويضات لجهة‬

‫أو الخسارة‪ .‬إن المبالغ المستردة من أو إلى معيدي التأمين‬

‫ثالثة ألصابات جسدية أو أضرار المملتكات (االلتزام العام) ‪ .‬‬

‫يتم قياسها بصورة منتظمة مع المبالغ المتعلقة بعقود‬

‫لنسبة للتأمين على الممتلكات‪ ،‬يتم من خالله تعويض‬

‫إعادة التأمين بموجب بنود كل عقد من عقود إعادة‬

‫عمالء الشركة عن األضرار التي لحقت بممتلكاتهم أو‬

‫التأمين على حدة‪ .‬‬

‫عن قيمة تلك الممتلكات التي فقدوها‪ ،‬وكذلك بالنسبة‬ ‫للزبائن المؤمنين على ممتلكات مستخدمة في أنشطتهم‬

‫ ‬ ‫مخصصات فنية‬

‫التجارية فإنه من الممكن تعويضهم عن الخسارة التي‬

‫يتم إعداد التزامات عقود التأمين مقابل المطالبات‬

‫تلحق بهم نتيجة عدم استطاعتهم استخدام تلك‬

‫الموقوفة لكل المطالبات المبلغ عنها للشركة والتي ال‬

‫الممتلكات المؤمن عليها في أنشطتهم التجارية (تغطية‬

‫تزال غير مسددة بتاريخ بيان المركز المالي باإلضافة إلى‬

‫مخاطر انقطاع األعمال)‪ .‬‬

‫المطالبات التي حدثت ولم يتم اإلبالغ عنها‪ .‬إن مخصص‬

‫يتم تسجيل أقساط التأمين الناتجة عن عقود التأمين‬

‫األقساط غير المكتسبة المدرج ضمن التزامات عقود‬

‫المذكورة كإيرادات للفترة (أقساط تأمين مكتسبة) على‬

‫التأمين يتكون من الجزء المقدر من إجمالي األقساط‬

‫أساس الفترات الزمنية المستحقة وبما يتناسب مع فترة‬

‫المكتتبة الذي يخص فترات تأمين الحقة لتاريخ بيان المركز‬

‫التغطية التأمينية‪ .‬يتم تسجيل أقساط التأمين المكتبية‬

‫المالي ويتم تقديرها باستخدام طريقة الفترات الزمنية‬

‫من خالل عقود تأمين والمتعلقة بأخطار ال زالت قائمة كما‬

‫النسبية (‪ )365/1‬إن طريقة احتساب أقساط التأمين غير‬

‫بتاريخ بيان المركز المالي ضمن االلتزامات كأقساط تأمين‬

‫المكتسبة حسب الطريقة أعاله (بعد طرح حصة إعادة‬

‫ ‬ ‫غير مكتسبة‪.‬‬

‫التأمين) كما هو مطلوب من قبل مجلس إدارة هيئة‬

‫إن العقود التي تبرمها الشركة مع معيدي التأمين والتي‬

‫لتاريخ البيانات المالية‪ ،‬حيث من المتوقع أن األقساط ال‬

‫بموجبها يتم تعويض الشركة عن الخسائر المتكبدة‬

‫تغطي بشكل فعال المطالبات المتوقعة وقد تم إدراجه‬

‫عن عقد أو عقود صادرة عن الشركة والتي تتماشي مع‬

‫تحت بند مخصص األخطار غير المنتهية (‪ )U.R.R‬ويتم‬

‫متطلبات التبويب لعقود التأمين يتم إدراجها كعقود‬

‫تسجيلها في بند مخصص مصاريف تسوية المطالبات‪.‬‬

‫في جميع االستثمارات عالية السيولة جاهزة للتحويل إلى‬

‫طريقة التكلفة خالل طريقة التكلفة‪ .‬يتم إثبات معدل التكلفة‬

‫نقد‪ ،‬والتي تكون عرضة لنسبة قليلة من المخاطر الناتجة من‬

‫لألسهم المعاد شرائها بطرحها من إجمالي حقوق الملكية‪.‬‬

‫قبل إقفالها في األرباح المدورة وحساب احتياطي رأس المال‪،‬‬

‫من المخصص الحقً ا للمبالغ التي تم شطبها سابقً ا في حساب‬

‫وال يوجد توزيعات نقدية مدفوعة على هذه األسهم‪.‬‬

‫ناقص تكاليف البيع وقيمة المنفعة في األصل أيهما أكبر‪.‬‬

‫الشامل المرحلي‪ .‬وتتم مراجعة األعمار اإلنتاجية المقدرة والقيم‬

‫القيمة العادلة لألصل هي القيمة التي من الممكن تبادل األصل‬

‫المتبقية وطريقة االستهالك في كل نهاية سنة‪ ،‬الحتساب آثار‬

‫عندها ما بين أطراف على علم وراغبة بالتفاوض على أساس‬

‫التغيرات في التقديرات على أساس مستقبلي‪.‬‬

‫تجاري‪ .‬وقيمة المنفعة في األصل هي القيمة الحالية للتدفقات‬

‫ ‬ ‫ويتم إجراء اختبار تدني القيمة التي تظهر بها الممتلكات‬

‫النقدية المستقبلية المتوقع تولدها من األصل‪ .‬ويعترف‬

‫والمعدات في بيان المركز المالي عند ظهور أي أحداث أو‬ ‫تغيرات في الظروف تظهر أن هذه القيمة غير قابلة لالسترداد‪.‬‬ ‫في حال ظهور أي مؤشر لتدني القيمة‪ .‬عند ظهور أي مؤشرات‬ ‫بتدني القيمة‪ ،‬يتم احتساب قيمة التدني بالرجوع إلى إيضاح ‪3‬‬ ‫ ‬ ‫(هـ)‪.‬‬

‫بخسائر التدني مباشرة في بيان الدخل الشامل‪ ،‬إال في حالة أن‬ ‫األصل ذو العالقة مسجل بقيمة إعادة التقييم‪ ،‬في هذه الحالة‬ ‫تعامل خسائر التدني كتدني في إعادة التقييم‪ .‬‬ ‫عند عكس خسائر تدني القيمة في فترة الحقة‪ ،‬يتم زيادة القيمة‬ ‫التي يظهر بها األصل في بيان المركز المالي بالقيمة المعدلة‬ ‫التقديرية للقيمة القابلة لالسترداد ولكن يجب أن ال تزيد قيمة‬

‫عندما يتم إجراء اعتراف الحق (بيع أو سحب من الخدمة)‬

‫الزيادة نتيجة عكس خسائر التدني عن قيمة التكلفة التاريخية‬

‫للممتلكات أو المعدات فإنه يتم إدخال قيمة الربح أو الخسارة‬

‫المستهلكة في حالة عدم االعتراف باالنخفاض في السنوات‬

‫الناتجة وهي الفرق مابين صافي عوائد االستبعاد‪ ،‬في حال‬

‫السابقة‪ .‬ويتم االعتراف بخسائر عكس االنخفاض مباشرة في‬

‫ظهورها‪ ،‬والقيمة التي تظهر بها هذه الممتلكات والمعدات‬

‫بيان الدخل الشامل إال إذا كان األصل ذو العالقة قد تم تحميله‬

‫في بيان الدخل الشامل المرحلي‪.‬‬

‫بقيمة إعادة التقييم‪ ،‬في هذه الحالة تعامل خسائر عكس‬

‫لقد قمنا بتدقيق البيانات المالية لشركة دار التأمين ش‪.‬م‪.‬ع‬

‫ان اهدافنا هي الحصول على تأكيد معقول فيما إذا كانت‬

‫‪ -‬شركة مساهمة عامة ‪ -‬أبوظبي والتي تتكون من بيان المركز‬

‫سواء كانت‬ ‫البيانات المالية ككل خالية من األخطاء الجوهرية‪،‬‬ ‫ً‬

‫المالي كما في ‪ 31‬ديسمبر ‪ ،2016‬وكل من بيان الدخل الشامل‬

‫ناشئة عن االحتيال أو الخطأ‪ ،‬وإصدار تقريرنا والذي يتضمن رأينا‪.‬‬

‫وبيان التغيرات في حقوق الملكية وبيان التدفقات النقدية للسنة‬

‫عال من التأكيد‪ ،‬ولكنه ليس ضمانة‬ ‫التأكيد المعقول هو مستوى ٍ‬

‫المنتهية في ذلك التاريخ‪ ،‬واإليضاحات حول البيانات المالية‪ ،‬بما في‬

‫كافة النواحي الجوهرية المركز المالي للشركة كما في ‪ 31‬ديسمبر‬

‫أو إجمالي‪ ،‬ممكن أن تؤثر بشكل معقول على القرارات االقتصادية‬

‫‪ ،2016‬وأدائها المالي وتدفقاتها النقدية للسنة المنتهية في ذلك‬

‫لقد قمنا بتدقيقنا وفقً ا للمعايير الدولية للتدقيق‪ .‬إن مسؤولياتنا‬

‫ ‬ ‫كجزء من عملية التدقيق وفقً ا للمعايير الدولية للتدقيق‪ ،‬فإننا‬ ‫نقوم بممارسة االجتهاد المهني والمحافظة على تطبيق مبدأ‬ ‫الشك المهني خالل التدقيق‪ ،‬باإلضافة إلى‪ :‬‬

‫وفقً ا لهذه المعايير موضحة الحقً‬ ‫ا في تقريرنا ضمن فقرة مسؤولية ‬ ‫المدقق حول تدقيق البيانات المالية‪ .‬نحن مستقلين عن الشركة‬ ‫تحديد وتقييم مخاطر األخطاء الجوهرية في البيانات المالية‪،‬‬ ‫وفقً ا للمتطلبات األخالقية ذات الصلة بأعمال تدقيق البيانات‬ ‫سواء كانت ناشئة عن احتيال أو خطأ‪ ،‬وكذلك تصميم وتنفيذ‬ ‫ً‬ ‫المالية باإلضافة بالتزامنا بالمسؤوليات األخالقية األخرى‪ ،‬وفقً ا لهذه‬ ‫إجراءات تدقيق مستجيبة لتلك المخاطر‪ ،‬والحصول على‬

‫المتطلبات‪ .‬‬

‫أساسا لرأينا‪ .‬إن خطر عدم‬ ‫أدلة تدقيق كافية ومناسبة لتوفر‬ ‫ً‬

‫نعتقد ان أدلة التدقيق الثبوتية التي حصلنا عليها كافية ومناسبة‬

‫اكتشاف االخطاء الجوهرية الناتجة عن احتيال أعلى من الخطر‬

‫أساسا نستند إليه في تكوين رأينا‪ .‬‬ ‫لتوفر‬ ‫ً‬

‫الناتج عن الخطأ‪ ،‬حيث أن االحتيال قد يشتمل على التواطؤ‬

‫ ‬

‫مسؤوليات اإلدارة و األشخاص المسؤولين عن‬ ‫الحوكمة عن البيانات المالية‬

‫أو التزوير أو الحذف المتعمد أو سوء التمثيل أو تجاوز ألنظمة‬ ‫الرقابة الداخلية‪.‬‬

‫إن اإلدارة مسؤولة عن إعداد البيانات المالية وعرضها بصورة عادلة‬

‫الحصول على فهم ألنظمة الرقابة الداخلية ذات الصلة‬

‫وأيضا مسؤولة عن إعداد‬ ‫وفقً ا للمعايير الدولية للتقارير المالية‬ ‫ً‬

‫بالتدقيق لغايات تصميم إجراءات تدقيق مناسبة حسب‬

‫نظام الرقابة الداخلي والذي تعتبره اإلدارة ضرور ًيا لغرض إعداد‬

‫الظروف‪ ،‬وليس لغرض إبداء رأي حول فعالية أنظمة الرقابة‬

‫بيانات مالية‪ ،‬خالية من أخطاء جوهرية‪ ،‬سواء كانت ناشئة عن‬

‫الداخلية في الشركة‪.‬‬

‫التقديرات المحاسبية واإليضاحات ذات العالقة المعدة من قبل‬

‫الشركة على االستمرار واإلفصاح‪ ،‬عندما ينطبق ذلك‪ ،‬عن األمور‬

‫اإلدارة‪.‬‬

‫ذات العالقة باالستمرارية واستخدام أساس االستمرارية المحاسبي‪،‬‬ ‫إال في حال وجود نية لدى اإلدارة لتصفية الشركة أو إليقاف أعمالها‬

‫تقرير رئيس مجلس اإلدارة‬ ‫باألصالة عن نفسي وبالنيابة عن مجلس اإلدارة أقدم‬ ‫لكم التقرير السنوي الخامس لدار التأمين (ش‪.‬م‪.‬ع)‪.‬‬ ‫بداية أتقدم بالشكر للسادة المؤسسين والمساهمين وإلى جميع العاملين في دار‬ ‫جهدا لتقديم األفضل وتنمية الشركة لتصبو إلى تخطي‬ ‫يدخرون‬ ‫التأمين الذين ال ّ‬ ‫ً‬ ‫توقعات عمالئها ومساهميها‪.‬‬ ‫في السنة المالية المنتهية بتاريخ ‪ 31‬ديسمبر ‪ ،2016‬انخفضت خسائر دار التأمين بشكل‬ ‫سجلت الشركة إجمالي خسائر شاملة بقيمة بلغت‬ ‫كبير مقارنة بالعام الماضي حيث ّ‬ ‫‪ 5.28‬مليون درهم بالمقارنة مع ‪ 18.15‬مليون درهم خالل السنة المالية المنتهية في‬ ‫ً‬ ‫ً‬ ‫ملحوظا عبر‬ ‫انتعاشا‬ ‫‪ 31‬ديسمبر ‪ .2015‬هذا ونالحظ أن نشاط أعمال التأمين قد شهد‬ ‫تسجيل صافي دخل االكتتاب بقيمة بلغت ‪ 21.30‬مليون درهم خالل عام ‪ 2016‬والذي‬ ‫يقارب ضعف قيمة صافي دخل االكتتاب الذي حققته دار التأمين في العام الماضي‬ ‫والذي بلغ ‪ 11.01‬مليون درهم‪ .‬ويرجع الفضل في هذا التحول الكبير في نتائج االكتتاب‬ ‫إلى سلسلة من السياسات واإلجراءات التصحيحية التي أطلقتها إدارة دار التأمين تحت‬ ‫إشراف أعضاء مجلس اإلدارة‪ ،‬فركزّت على تنظيم معايير االكتتاب وتنويع المنتجات‬ ‫وتطوير إدارة المطالبات بالتدقيق على عمليات تقييم وتسوية المطالبات‪.‬‬

‫في ‪ 31‬ديسمبر ‪ 2016‬فقد بلغت قيمته ‪ 217.24‬مليون درهم‪.‬‬

‫وارتفع إجمالي األقساط المكتتبة بنسبة ‪ 26.3%‬خالل األشهر الـ ‪ 12‬المنتهية في ‪31‬‬

‫كما ارتفعت المصاريف العامة واإلدارية إلى ‪ 35.93‬مليون درهم عن األشهر‬

‫ديسمبر ‪ 2016‬ليصل إلى‬ ‫قيمة بلغت ‪ 159.84‬مليون درهم بالمقارنة مع ‪ 126.51‬مليون‬ ‫ٍ‬

‫الـ‪ 12‬المنتهية في ‪ 31‬ديسمبر ‪ 2016‬بالمقارنة مع ‪ 32.04‬مليون درهم ُسجلت في‬

‫درهم ُسجلت خالل السنة المالية المنتهية في ‪ 31‬ديسمبر ‪ .2015‬كما حقق صافي‬

‫ارتفاعا بنسبة ‪ ،12.2%‬ونحن‬ ‫الفترة نفسها من السنة الماضية لتُ سجل بذلك‬ ‫ً‬

‫نموا بنسبة ‪ 33.8%‬ليرتفع بذلك إلى قيمة بلغت ‪ 104.94‬مليون درهم‬ ‫األرباح المكتسبة ً‬

‫نعتقد أن هذه النتيجة منطقية بسبب زيادة نشاطات التأمين بنسبة ‪26.3%‬‬

‫بالمقارنة مع ‪ 78.41‬مليون درهم ُسجلت في السنة الماضية‪ .‬وقد انخفض صافي‬

‫خالل عام ‪ 2016‬في كل من المقر الرئيسي في أبوظبي والخمسة فروع األخرى‬

‫المطالبات المتكبدة بشكل ملحوظ في عام ‪ 2016‬بالنسبة إلى إجمالي دخل االكتتاب‬

‫في دبي والشارقة والسمحة ومصفح ومحوي‪.‬‬

‫انخفاضا بمقدار ‪ ،5.3%‬كما‬ ‫إلى ‪ 81.2%‬بالمقارنة مع ‪ 86.5%‬في العام الماضي مما يعكس‬ ‫ً‬

‫وفيما يتعلق بسياسة التوطين التي تتبعها دار التأمين‪ ،‬فإن نسبة الموظفين‬

‫تعتبر «المخصصات الفنية» لدار التأمين متوافقة بشكل ك ّلي مع األنظمة والقواعد‬

‫من مواطني دولة اإلمارات العربية المتحدة قد بلغت ‪ ،12%‬مما يعكس التزامنا‬

‫الجديدة التي وضعتها «هيئة التأمين» في دولة اإلمارات العربية المتحدة كما في ‪31‬‬

‫وحرصنا الشديد على تطوير حجم العمالة الوطنية في قطاع التأمين‪.‬‬

‫ديسمبر ‪ .2016‬هذا ويمكننا القول أن كل ما سبق ذكره ُيعد تطو ًرا إيجاب ًيا أثبت مدى‬ ‫المعدلة والعمل الجاد الذي لطالما حرصت دار التأمين على اتّباعه‬ ‫فاعلية االستراتيجيات ُ‬ ‫المرجوة‪.‬‬ ‫لتُ حقق من خالله النتائج‬ ‫ّ‬ ‫ومن الجدير بالذكر أن استراتيجية االستثمار التي تتبعها دار التأمين منذ تأسيسها‪،‬‬ ‫وموثقة بشكل واضح وتُدار بمهنية عالية‪ .‬فعلى الرغم من‬ ‫ت ُّ‬ ‫ُعد استراتيجية مدروسة ّ‬ ‫االضطراب الشديد في أسواق األسهم المحلية والعالمية خالل عام ‪ ،2016‬إال أن صافي‬ ‫الدخل المحقق من األنشطة االستثمارية في عام ‪ 2016‬ارتفع بنسبة ‪ 326%‬بقيمة بلغت‬ ‫‪ 9.35‬مليون درهم بالمقارنة مع ‪ 2.87‬مليون درهم في العام الماضي‪ .‬كما يعكس‬

‫وعلى الرغم من الظروف الصعبة التي يشهدها السوق‪ ،‬مازلنا متفائلين‬ ‫بقدرتنا على تحقيق نمو مربح في المستقبل القريب‪ .‬وتتمثل استراتيجيتنا‬ ‫في المنافسة من خالل تقديم منتجات مبتكرة وخدمات ذات جودة عالية‪ .‬وفي‬ ‫المستقبل‪ ،‬سوف يستند نمو أرباح أعمال التأمين على مراجعة دورية لسياسة‬ ‫االكتتاب من جهة وإلى تطوير آليات إدارة المطالبات من جهة ثانية‪.‬‬ ‫بالنيابة عن مجلس اإلدارة‪،‬‬

‫تنوع المحفظة االستثمارية لدار التأمين اليوم توافقً ا كل ًيا وامتثاالً لألحكام المتعلقة‬ ‫ّ‬ ‫بأسس استثمارات شركات التأمين الصادرة عن «هيئة التأمين» في دولة اإلمارات العربية‬ ‫المتحدة والتي تسري اعتبا ًرا من ‪ 29‬يناير ‪.2017‬‬ ‫هذا وقد حافظت دار التأمين على قوة مركز السيولة النقدية من حيث النقد والنقد‬
