INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION MARIA LUISA DE MORENO


THE FOUNDATION It is a Colombian nonprofit organization, with over 12 years of experience, whose main objective is to assist highly vulnerable communities through various kinds of aids, from educational,social and humanitarian programs. These expeditions and activities are fulfilled nationwide in 28 departments with 32 delegations, as well as internationally, countries include : Austria, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Spain, Holland, England, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Brazil, Puerto Rico.


Dr. Maria Luisa Piraquive Teacher for Excellence Over 40 years ago, Dr. Maria Luisa Piraquive has been working hard to help the less fortunate. In the year 2000, she formalized her commitment to serve in creating the International Foundation Maria Luisa de Moreno, an entity in which through agreements with Private and Public institutions , delivers aids in a welltimed and effective manner. Assistance is delivered to the most vulnerable populations , thus fulfulling her dream of working for the happiness of others.


Awards received Dr. María Luisa Piraquive has received several awards for her social work through IFMLM in aiding the less fortunate. - “Doctor Honoris Causa Summa Cum Laude” - "Master in Educational Administration" Latin American Council of Educational Quality (2012) - Award "Wings of Hope" (2012) Colombian Air Force


Awards received - "Recognition to the Illustrious personalities " by the House of Representatives of the Republic of Colombia "Order of Simon Bolivar Democracy" (2012).

- " Coreguaje de oro" granted by the Governor of Caquetรก (2012)


Awards received - Recognition by the council of Neiva - Huila (2012) - Resolution honoring the Foundation for its dedication to serving the immigrant community in the Chicago area (2011)


Mission The International Foundation Maria Luisa de Moreno is a non-profit organization that provides a helping hand worldwide to help with comphrehension and effectiveness to the less fortunate, by implementing quality education in all levels and providing humanitarian assistance in timely manner to improve the living conditions of the vulnerable population.


Vision The International Foundation of Maria Luisa Moreno will be a highly recognized entity, internationally positioned for the exceptional social and humanitarian management, which generates high levels of trust, based on the responsibility, comprehensibility and solidarity.

1.Help us to Educate Schools Building Program

A program based on the construction ,reconstruction and provision of preschools, elementary, and high school, whose main concern is the development of the targeted community, seeking to raise the quality levels of life of the population assisted through intervention in an architectural level, provision, social and environmental development.

ECUADOR A Construction of a school in the province of Chimborazo, Guamote will benefit 200 families in vulnerable circumstances.

MÉXICO A Construction of a school in San Andres Tuxtla - Veracruz, where an indigenous community populates will benefit 300 families in vulnerable circumstances.

BOLIVIA A school will be contructed in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, which will benefit 320 families.

PANAMA A school will be contructed in Chepo - El Llano (Panama Province), which will benefit 99 families, , Also In Penonome - COPE (Cocle Province), will benefit 150 families


1.Help us to Educate My New Family Program

We provide assistance and sustentation of children and adolescents in the educational system until the end of their basic education. Educational sponsorship program helps reduce the dropout rate of children and adolescents , further providing quality education and health care, for those deprived of the appropriate conditions for their development.

Educational support for outstanding youth and adults Provides access to secondary, higher level and continuous education to youth and adults who lacked the opportunity to fund their education, providing comprehensive development tools to meet the challenges of globalization and new technologies, so through the results of their intellectual and professional growth , they are able to contribute to the positive transformation of their environment.


2. Help us to Help Networks support Program

Health Brigades by Colombia The task called "The Health Of The Citizens Is Our Happiness", provides integrated health care services from professionals in areas specialized in: General Medicine, Dentistry, Optometry, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Audiology and Physical Therapy, delivering added value as donations of various kinds. Housing

Locational construction and improvements to the housing of the vulnerable families with intentions to intervene directly for the improvements on their living conditions.


2. Help us to Help Program Support vulnerable population

It provides humanitarian assistance to disadvantaged families in different areas of the world. In 2012, we have assisted over 94,000 people nationwide also have delivered more than 342,000 aids. Over 5,000 individuals have been assisted internationaly and more than 8,000 aids have been delivered..


3. Productive Families Program : Empowering Families for a Better Future. Nuqu铆 (Choc贸)

Provides training opportunities for people with a desire to overcome various communities seeking alternative sources of income ,in hopes of improving their living conditions personal, social and relative. Allows to Identify, develope and strengthen their life project both humane and corporate levels, contributing in the execution of a business idea,recognition of leadership skills, increased self-esteem, self-efficacy, and self-confidence in decision-making.


3. Productive Families Entrepreneurial Awakening Program

The program is an option for all those people who have a desire to excel, achieve their dreams, achieve decent living and in pursuit of alternative sources of income. With that purpose in mind, spaces are provided to identify, develop and strengthen their life ventures in a productive personal level through two training modules: Personal Development and Production Development.


3. Productive Families Wellness Program for Older Adults

Allows the elderly, the possibility to take an active and independent role, through integrated group, family and educational activities, to develope in them all capabilities to improve their living conditions: • The improvement in their personal presentation,health, management of dangerous/difficult situations (self-care), the recognition of problems in their environment,the correct way to be part of the solution (autogestion): and time management (Occupational)


3. Productive Families Great Women Program

Provides training in commercial working field and personal projection to the beauty consultants(Beauticians) of the Belcorp Foundation, encouraging the creation of a life plan and strengthening personal skills, contributing to a better quality of life for their families.


3. Productive Families Learning to Grow

It is a special program that will provide selected communities from social work in the south of the capital, as a complement to productive working families: teaching and strengthening in children, speech skills, healthy eating habits, health, and the use of freetime, thus contributing to the gorwth in their personal, social , and family life.
