Letter from the Director… Greetings all! My name is Derek Stogner, and it is with great excitement that I take on the role of Director for our awesome center. I’ve only just begun, but have felt very warmly welcomed by everyone!
www.facebook.com/ I am actually rejoining the FiftyForward FiftyForwardJLTurner Center family, as I was previously the Director of the Connect with us! Website: www.fiftyforward.org www.facebook.com/ FiftyForward J.L. Turner Center Interim Center Director Glenna Orr
Bordeaux Center as well as an office manager at the Knowles Center. My lovely wife of 12 years Katherine and I have just returned to Nashville after a couple of years in Fort Myers, FL where I worked at the NBC and ABC stations as a morning news director. I love movies, music, writing, nature, hockey and playing the bass guitar. As a Michigan native, I am a longsuffering fan of the abysmal Detroit Lions. I also have a passion for service and community that I can’t wait to apply to our center.
ON THE ROAD WITH JOAN But enough about me, a lot of exciting things are ahead for the Joan Sincerbox, Turner Center, beginning with filling out the rest of the staff, and then joansincerbox@comcast. net building up our programs and resources. (615) 646-0059 I ask for your continued patience, as it will take a little while to get up and running, and I’m sure there will be growing pains. But great days are ahead!
FiftyForward J. L. Turner is located inside the Bellevue Family YMCA
There are a couple events coming up this month where we can start to get to know each other; a “Meet the Director” gathering on Oct. 13, and two Saturday day trips I’m calling “Downtown with Derek” where I’ll be your driver to some very cool stuff around the city center.
Members 50+ are Onward and Upwards! automatically eligible to participate in FiftyForward Derek Stogner J. L. Turner Center Director, FiftyForward J.L. Turner Center
