The Turner Times Musings By Joe Edwards A member of the Turner Center Writer’s Club Cell phones are enemies of courtesy Put them away like an insidious habit Then, nourish ambition It is not durable Pride can be a lifeline to success So sip a taste of good fortune It might spread And, here your integrity glows like a laser Honesty is insurance against poison Inoculate against the darkness of despair Beware of fear It is an indictment of confidence Sadness is a back channel toward defeat And jealousy is a red light stopping love So, use a megaphone To proclaim your values.

Big thank you to the volunteers at Proverbs 12:10 Animal Shelter for coming out and speaking to us about their animal foster process, and bringing some cute furry friends along with them. We had a fun afternoon exploring at the Noble Goat Farm in Franklin. We learned how goat cheese was made, met a few of their 200+ goats, and tasted a variety of different goat cheese products.

We had a ton of fun and had an amazing turnout for our FiftyForward/Bellevue History & Genealogy Group fundraiser featuring Grinder’s Switch Ensemble & Les Kerr. Thanks to everyone who came out to support our Center!
