Making Time for Meharry Medical Students The FiftyForward J. L. Turner Center is proud to welcome students from Meharry Medical College for a visit to the facility in February. For the past several years, a group of Meharry Medical students has visited to observe active older adults while they participate in exercise classes, groups, and other programs. This observation, and occasional participation in the programs, is an essential part of their curriculum. The Meharry Medical students will be at the center on Wednesday, February 17 to mingle with members, ask some questions, and observe some activities to gain an understanding of these aspects of active older adult life and how they relate to health outcomes. So, from 10:15 am—12:15 pm we hope you will join us in welcoming these bright young future physicians!
Creative Volunteerism The FiftyForward J. L Turner Center is excited to welcome Tamara Kreigh to our team! Tamara will be the new Member Relations and Volunteer Manager. She comes to us with lots of volunteer management experience in several different settings. Tamara loves working in the non-profit industry and has a passion for working with older adults and fulfilling needs in the community through volunteerism. She also enjoys developing relationships with members and developing programs to meet their needs. Tamara considers herself to be a creative person and loves coming up with program ideas! We look forward to her joining our team!
