Halloween Costume Contest and Potluck/Chili Cook-Off Friday, October 30 at 11:30a.m.
Pool will be closed
Maintenance on the YMCA swimming pool, sauna benches, and whirlpool will begin on Monday, October 5th and will continue through at least Thursday, October 8th dur ing which these areas will be closed.

Greetings! I hope that each of you are as excited as I am to be moving into Fall! I hope you have noticed that we are offering more opportunities for you to learn and grow in all areas of well-being. Our September calendar was full of many exciting things and October promises to be even better. I must say that we never enjoy cancelling events that we work so hard to plan, so please step out of your comfort zone and take advantage of these new experiences. I know you would find each of them fun and rewarding. Thank you for your cooperation as we have implemented the My Senior Center (MSC) check-in system. We still have a few bugs in the system, but Nicole is working hard to get them all worked out. Thank you Nicole for your hard work on this major project! Please make sure that you check in at MSC every single day AND check in for every single activity/event that you participate in! This is vital for us to keep our funding and to know what people most enjoy doing! As we move into October, I challenge each of you to experience one of the Arts that you have never experienced before. You will find that we are offering activities/events in many of the Arts over the course of the month. All you have to do is participate! I hope to see each of you at our Center many times this month! Here’s to your health, well-being and lifelong learning! -Susan

Celebrate
ARTober with us in October!
Artober is a month-long celebration of arts and culture in Nashville. Here at the Turner Center, you can celebrate Artober with us by participating in some of our arts & craft classes. In October we are offering a Bob Ross painting class, a Crafting with Candace ReLEAF project, a Music for Seniors concert, Coffee & Classics at the Nashville Symphony, Rhythm Band, Photography Group, box mural decorating, a Zentangle class, and a coloring contest.
