Walking Path Brentwood Walking Trail is available off the back patio. Brentwood’s city trails provide a great place to walk, run or bike. The trails connect citizens to other facilities including the Concord Road YMCA, Williamson Sports Complex.
Weight Watchers Tuesdays at 8:30 am Meetings are held here at the Martin Center. Center members with I.D. pay $30 joining fee week one (unless there is a joining special). Martin Center members with I.D. receive $2.00 off the weekly fee.

Music City Tea is a private Chinese Traditional Tea company. On July 2nd Music City Tea will come and offer a tea tasting and full dinner to our members. Dinner includes Chinese Salad, fried rice, spring rolls, and dumplins. Additionally there will be green tea cakes, tea cookies, and unlimited tea tastings. Come learn about all the different teas and customs celebrated in China.

Welcome to Summer As you may know, we are still in a search for personnel to fill our two Martin vacancies, our Program and Partnership Director and our Volunteer and Office Manager. Helen is continuing to help us “hang on” until we can find the right candidate. If you know of someone that might be interested in either of these roles, please let us know. We need to cast a wider net so please help us spread the word. If you are wondering why we aren’t scheduling more trips, it is because we are required by law to only use CDL licensed drivers. In the past we used several of our great Brentwood firefighters, but one is retiring this summer and two others are now in Administrative positions so they no longer have shift rotations. The rotation means that they are off during certain days, giving them the flexibility to drive for us. If you know of any friends or neighbors that might have this license, please reach out to them to see if they might be interested in contracting to drive for us several times a month. Thanks, Joyce

Facilities Set-up: Set up and arrange tables and chairs in the building for various programs and special events. Landscaping Committee: Help keep our landscape looking beautiful by weeding, watering, planting and picking up trash. Property Committee: Identify needs and help with general maintenance and repair of the Center. Kitchen Keepers: Organize the kitchen for special events and potlucks including set-up, heating the food and clean-up. Newsletter Group: Fold, label and sort the Center’s newsletter. Data Entry: Input membership and volunteer data. Welcoming Committee: Introduce new participants at social and special events. Organize the Center’s New Member Luncheon. Phone Calling: Make occasional phone calls as reminders or follow-ups. Decorating Committee: Decorate for activities or special events at the Center.
