THE WHISTLESTOP
Construction Plans for Our Building As mentioned last month, in order to further enhance the comfort and safety of everyone who uses our facilities, our building will soon undergo some much needed improvements! This will include modernized rest rooms, a repaved area in front of the building, small patio seating near the front entrance, an enhanced front staircase and ramp that will be ADA compliant, an awning above the steps for rain protection, a roomier hallway entrance to the building, an enhanced front desk area, a new lobby area, new office windows and a re-paved, re-striped parking lot. Member Art Show Debuts October 2oth To celebrate “Artober”, come browse the work of all the talented artists we have here at Madison Station at our Member Art Show on Thursday, October 20th from 10:00 am to Noon in the Social Room. Meet and mingle with the ar tists as you view their contributions to the show, which includes paintings, drawings, poetry, and more. Light refreshments will be served. Artists, please turn in your submissions, no more than two per person, by Friday, October 14. If you wish to sell your art during the show, please make arrangements with Sam. Viva La Diva Race Coming November 5th FiftyForward is proud to present the 6th Annual Viva la Diva Run on Satur day, November 5th. This cross-generational event celebrates and supports health, wellness and safety programs at FiftyForward. Register online at vivaladivarun.org to walk or run the 5K or 10K. Want to race and support FiftyForward programs? Join the FiftyForward Madison team! Not interested in racing? Sam will be a Course Monitor/Cheerer for the racers and wants to bring some FiftyForward Madison cheerers along. Talk with Sam to help give an extra boost of support to the racers! Also, there’s a “Best Dressed Diva/ Dude” contest too!
