THE WHISTLEST P
From the Director… Wow! What a wonderful “Sweet 16” Whistlestop Fundraiser we had last month. The event raised over $25,000 to help fund the many programs, services, and activities offered here at the center. Guests enjoyed a large silent auction and reception, followed by a fabulous meal catered by dinner sponsor CRAVE 1201 Catering. Emceed by Lelan Statom of NewsChannel 5, the highlights of the evening were the announcement of The Friday Night Music Jam Committee as the Madison Senior(s) of the Year, and David McMurry from the Madison-Goodlettsville Rotary as Conductor of the Year. Other candidates in the running for Conductor this year were Lonnie Jones of the Kiwanis Club of Madison and Karen Ramsey, President of the Madison-Rivergate Area Chamber of Commerce. Together these candidates raised over $6,000 for the center! The entertainment for the evening was a fun dance medley performed by center members and local youth volunteers sponsored by Ambassadors Formalwear by Gilda. FiftyForward Madison Station would like to thank the following businesses for making the event possible: Title Sponsor Dollar General Corporation, Conductor Sponsors Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery and The Memorial Foundation, and the Engineers that evening I including Signature Healthcare at Larkin Springs, NPS Pharmacy, Creekside Health and Rehabilitation, and Windlands East.
Relay for Life Team

Rivergate Mall will be hosting a Relay for Life for our Madison Community on Saturday, May 30. Relay For Life is an incredible opportunity to unite as a community to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society through an all-day walk. We would love to see if there is enough interest to get a team representing FiftyForward Madison Station. If we get enough people, we can split up the walking into 30 minute shifts. If you or someone you know has been affected by cancer and you would like to participate, please see Kelsey.
