MAY 2017 ISSUE
A Sad Announcement from Our Center Director
THE WHISTLESTOP
Dear Members of FiftyForward Madison Station, It has been my utmost pleasure and privilege to serve all of you for the past 16 years at FiftyForward Madison Station. However, I must let you know that May 31 will be my last day as your Center Director. I am in a place in my life where my greatest need and goal is to spend more time at home caring for my family, and the workload of a Center Director is not allowing me to accomplish this. FiftyForward Madison Station is my second family, and I have not made this decision lightly. It is my wish to do everything in my power to aid in the FAREWELL PARTY transition of my replacement so that the FOR KELSEY success of the center is in no way compromised. This would include my We will have a willingness to stay in my role on a smaller farewell party for Kelsey scale past my last day if it would be Thursday, May 25 helpful to the agency. at 1:30 pm
in the Social Room. Words fail to express my gratitude to my Please join us for FiftyForward family. We truly have the coffee, dessert, and most wonderful staff! And I have learned lots of hugs! so much from all our amazing members! It is my hope that one day I may even be able to return to this wonderful agency if a future position suited me. I’ve so appreciated all the many opportunities and confidences that have been placed with me. I will miss all of you tremendously. I look forward to staying in touch and I wish everyone at FiftyForward Madison Station all the very best, ALWAYS! With love and gratitude,

Construction Update— Big News! About a month ago, our Center submitted a grant to an anonymous foundation which asked for funds to cover the costs of resealing/restriping the parking lot, construction of the new awning at our entrance, 400 new chairs for the building, and security cameras for the center. And guess what?? Our request was approved!! So be on the lookout for updates about when these new projects will be taking place!
