Letter from the Center Director It’s summertime and we had so much fun with those who attended our first Summer Kick-off Party! Thank you to all who participated in the 2019 Membership Survey, your voice is important to us. The results are in and will be presented to the Advisory Council in August. The information will be used to make Madison Station the best it can be. Over the last several months the Nominating Committee has gathered names of members for the 2019-21 Advisory Council term. These names have been presented to the council and are displayed at the front desk. These members will be officially voted in during the July Advisory Council meeting. Beginning on July 1st, all guests must sign in at the front desk. It is important for your safety that we know who is in the building at all times. Additionally, all guests that wish to check out our center whether it be for a game of pool, to knit, to use the fitness center, take a trip, or listen to music jam and so on, need to pay $5.00 for a day pass. Last but not least, we invite you to follow us on Facebook. Beginning this month we will list all events at the center on our Facebook page so you can check in at any time and see what is happening next. This is also where we share pictures and videos of all the fun we have here every day. We will also use this to keep you up to date on important information from center closings to community happenings. To follow us on Facebook go to www.facebook.com/fiftyforwardmadisonstation/ and like our page. If you need assistance just ask one of us and we will help you get connected! Happy Summer, Brandy Lamb, Center Director

Letter from the Assistant Center Director I can’t believe it’s already been a month since I started! It has been so great getting to meet and know you all over this past month. I appreciate your patience with me as I learn the ropes surrounding all the exciting events and programs that happen here each month. This month I’m really excited to welcome Duncan Davis, who will be presenting a four-part series about the solar system and beyond, beginning July 2. While it will definitely be educational, I hear from our friends over at Knowles Center that he is hilarious and very entertaining, so it should be a fun time! We have lots of other great events to look forward to in July – SuperBingo, a new member lunch, celebrating our summer birthday babies, and our next MadTown Music event with Blue Suede Shoes! Be on the lookout for changes to our front bulletin boards coming soon - we’ll start highlighting upcoming events on a weekly basis so that you can stay in the know of everything that’s going on!

Happy 4th of July, Heather McNeese, Asst. Center Director
