THE WHISTLESTOP

Welcome To Our New Center Director!

On July 10th, we welcomed our new Center Director, Brandy Lamb. Brandy was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas, also known as the “Little Apple” and moved to Nashville after attending Kansas State University. She fell in love with Nashville and has now lived here for 13 years. Brandy, her husband, Shane, and their rescue dog, Memphis, enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors. In college, she earned a Hospitality Management degree and developed a passion for food and people. She also has a strong health and wellness background and enjoys making healthy meals and snacks. In addition, Brandy teaches Awareness Yoga Wednesday evenings at the Ivy House. She has worked as a Manager with J. Alexander’s Restaurants, Assistant General Manager & Human Resources Manager with Vanderbilt University Dining, Assistant Athletic Director & Head Rowing Coach at Montgomery Bell Academy, and most recently, Program Director with FiftyForward J.L. Turner Center. During her time at the Turner Center she fell in love with the members, the organization, and being a part of the FiftyForward family. Brandy is grateful for this opportunity to serve Madison Station in her new role. Brandy hit the ground running with many exciting projects and enhancements to our Center; including a new phone system, resurfacing/painting of the parking lot, a new elliptical machine in our fitness center, receipt of 360 brand new chairs and many more. She will also be overseeing some other great projects on the horizon such as the addition of an awning at our entrance, a walking track around the parking lot, and 40 new SilverSneakers chairs. Brandy is looking forward to getting to know everyone and working together to take our center to the next level. We are hosting a “Meet the Director” gathering this month on August 15 at 10:30 am prior to Tasty Tuesday so she can start to get to know you. We hope you will join us!
