Letter from the Center Director Happy Spring! I hope you are all enjoying the longer days of sunshine! I hope you are as excited as we are to have been voted Best of Madison-Rivergate 2018: Best Retirement Community! Carpentry and electrical work has begun in the Fitness Center. The brand-new equipment will be arriving soon. We have updated the vending machines and relocated them to the Party Room. We will be rearranging rooms and storages areas as we continue to clean and update the center. We appreciate your tolerance as we work to make Madison Station the best it can be!
Beginning on Monday, April 2nd, our Center Hours will be Monday-Friday from 8 am-3 pm
As you know, we have been short-staffed here at Madison Station. We are working hard to fill our open positions and appreciate your patience. In order to continue to provide quality service to you and allow staff time to continue to manage office work, center renovations, and upcoming special events, we will have to temporarily adjust our center hours. Beginning on Monday, April 2nd, our center hours will be Monday-Friday from 8:00am-3:00pm until our staffing shortage is resolved. Join us and SAVE THE DATE for our Annual Fundraiser, The Whistlestop on May 31st!!! Warm Wishes, Brandy Lamb, Center Director
Letter from the Program Director Since we had so many showers in March, let’s hope the “April Showers” stay away this month! But I can guarantee you there won’t be any soggy days at the Center though! We’ve got a wide variety of programs planned, from educational classes such as the Aging Mastery Program and an Investment Class to fun events such as the Tasty Tuesday and Spring Birthday Party. Plus, no one will want to miss out on the Health Fair on April 12th, where we will have 35 vendors participating. Our hiking club (above) has already gotten out in nature and will again in April in addition to several other great trips. Closer to home, our Walking Club meets here every Wednesday at 7:30 am. Join Brandy and I for laps around the building to get your day off to a great start! Happy Spring to you all and I look forward to seeing you at the Center! —Julie Reeves, Program Director
