Kim’s Korner Hello everyone,
I hope this newsletter finds you doing well. It has been a beautiful spring. We have survived the NFL draft and the holiday weekend. We had a blast at the center with our Easter Egg Hunt. The month of May is filled with all kinds of exciting events taking place. As we move toward summer, we are moving to a full schedule of exciting opportunities. As you may know, most of the centers and programs under the FiftyForward umbrella, utilize volunteers to keep their day-to-day operations running smoothly. We would like to present the same opportunity here at Knowles. The center is moving toward creating a pool of volunteers to help with our kitchen, office and day to day functioning. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please stay tuned for the sign-up. From the sign-up list, we will set a training date. Thanks for being a member of FiftyForward and we look forward to an amazing May!

Beginning May 1, 2019, members of FiftyForward Knowles can purchase a meal ticket for Summer programming.
What: FiftyForward Knowles has partnered with FiftyForward Fresh to offer meals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays during the months of June, July and August 2019.
Cost: The meal tickets will cost $25.00 which comes out to $2.00 per meal Who: We are offering this opportunity the first 25 FiftyForward Knowles members who sign up. Sign-ups will need to take place at the Front Desk. Once you sign up you will receive a meal ticket good for one month. If you choose to pay for all three months ahead of time, you will be able to pick up your pass for the future months at the 1st of that month.
Why: In the past, each summer we have offered meals to those attending Aging Mastery Program, Summer Singing Camp and Wind Down Wednesday. This summer we are trying a different approach. These same meals will be available, but will be served on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, June-August for those with a meal ticket.
How: To purchase your meal ticket, please sign up at the front desk Frequently Asked Questions: What if I only want to eat on the one day that I attend programing will I need to purchase the entire $25.00 ticket? Those that only attend Aging Mastery or Summer Singing Camp will have the opportunity to buy a meal ticket for $15.00. This will allow them to eat on Tuesday or Thursday. There is no discount if you are eating two days a week vs. three. For example: If you are attending Aging Mastery and Summer Singing Camp, but do not attend on Wednesday, you will need to purchase the $25.00 meal ticket. If I do not use all my meals in one month, will they rollover to the next month? No, each meal ticket is for the specific month for which it was purchased. You will not be allowed to roll meals over to the next month. Can a friend and I share a meal ticket? This will be between you and the friend. You will be responsible for how the sharing of the meal ticket takes place. What if I have more questions? If you have any more questions, please talk with the Knowles office staff. Please note that the regular cost of these meals is triple the cost for what they are being offered to our members for. Knowles will be exploring ways to offset the cost to our members. The $25.00 meal ticket purchase price is already discounted as much as possible. We hope that you take advantage of this great opportunity to have a good meal for such a discounted price. Thanks for your support!!
