You asked for it! It’s here. Join us for a fun afternoon of Dirty Bingo, Monday, June 26th at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $5.00. The cost will include a light lunch, a Grand Prize and many other fun prizes. Only the strong will survive. All is fair in love and war!! The competition is tough during the summer. On Thursday, June 29th at 2:00 p.m. we will have a Corn Hole Competition. Please sign up! You can sign up alone or sign up a team (we will have teams of 2.) There is no cost to participate. The winning team will

If you enjoy music, then you will certainly enjoy this event. The Lifelong Listeners Symphony presents a Trio of Music will perform on Tuesday, June 27th. Come join us as we celebrate in song. We will begin the celebration at 12:30 p.m. with a Potluck (please sign up.) Concert will beging at 2:00 p.m. Please join us for this fun event.!!
Kim’s Korner It’s Summer! An exciting and fun time at the Knowles Center! This summer at Knowles we will be having 3 major events. Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. (June 6 through July 25th, 2017) Cottage Cove and Knowles. We are looking for 10 older adults to join in intergenerational programming with youth 7 to 9 years old. We will experience fun times together around art, music etc. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity., please sign up to participate! We will be accepting 10 adults from Knowles and 10 youth from Cottage Cove. The cost is free. Summer Singing Camp will be held again this year. The theme is “Country Music”. We are pleased to have Geno Haffner with us again this year. We will meet Thursdays June 8th-July 27th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. A light lunch will be served to those participating. Remember you do not have to be a professional singer to participate. No auditions required. Please sign up. Non-Knowles members are welcome as well, however they must be on the sign-up sheet for our headcount. The cost is free. Tea Time is back! Fridays beginning June 23rd - July 28th, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. This session of Tea Time will include tasting of teas, day trips, one super blessing activity and fun activities. The cost to participate is free. You will have fees associated with the Day Trips (TBA).

Reghan’s Remarks It’s June everyone!! Fun fact for this month… June is celebrated in the US as National Oceans Month! So, everyone take a trip to the water, if you get the chance, and celebrate the month of June…I know I will! We have a lot going on here at the Knowles Center for all of you, so get ready… first off we have our big Matching Campaign kickoff so come join us BEFORE First Monday Lunch on the 5th of June and hear all about it! I am excited about this month because we have a couple night time activities throughout the month so make sure to look over your calendar, call or come in and get your name of the list and if you have any questions please call! The trip on June 8th to Centennial Park for the Nashville Symphony is FREE and will be a great time! Make sure if you attend that trip to bring a chair to sit in since the concert will be out on the lawn! We had a pretty good turnout for our first Happy Hour here at the Knowles Center! We will continue to have Happy Hour every third week of the month at 2:00 p.m. until August so don’t miss out! We are looking for a couple volunteers to help us out with some things around the center so if you and a friend would like to lend a helping hand please come see Kim or myself for more information on volunteer opportunities! And last but not least, our men’s groups is going on their second month! We had a good turnout for patio pals this past month and we have the ManKind Project of Nashville coming back for an awareness class June 14th at 2:00 P.M. Thank you everyone for being the best FiftyForward members we could ask for. We appreciate every single one of you and thank you for letting the Knowles Center be your home! Just a reminder that Aging Mastery Program (AMP) continues for the 10 participants that have been attending the program. Please mark your calendars for AMP Program Graduation on June 30th at the Donelson Center. More info to come on this event!
Please remember that we have begun our Men’s Group. If you know a man 50+ that may be interested in becoming a member of FiftyForward Knowles, please share with him this information. Our June meeting dates are June 14th at 9:00 a.m. (Patio Pals, followed by Men’s Walking Group and Men’s Awareness) and June 28th at 8:30 a.m. (Patio Pals, followed by Men’s Discussion Group.)
