Need to cool down? Join us for Wind Down Wednesday. Wind Down Wednesday is a time to share good conversation over a cool drink or treat. Feel free to bring a game or two to enjoy with friends. It’s a way to get over the hump of the work week.

Ever been to City Café? Well, this is a great time to try it out if you haven’t! Come join us for this fun daytrip with your Knowles friends on Monday, July 30th.

Depart: 10:15am Return: 1:00 pm; Van Fee: $4.00 + lunch on your own.

We are currently working on the line up for this Fall’s calendar, please let us know if there is a subject matter you would like to hear more on, a place you would like to take a day trip to or if you have a specialty you would like to share with us. Kim’s Korner To say it’s HOT is an understatement. If you are wanting to stay cool, you better join us for some of the great activities taking place in July.

I hope those of you who are attending Aging Mastery Program, Cottage Cove and Summer Singing Camp are having fun. However, there is room for more fun. Join us as we celebrate Fourth of July on July 2, 2018. If this event does not “spark” your interest then perhaps you should meet us at First Monday Lunch. This month’s entertainment is no other than our own Choraleers. We are so excited to have them share in our special day. Throw on your red, white and blue and come share in these fun activities! Don’t forget to check out our Awareness classes for July and get in on those awesome day trips. There is no room for being lazy during these active days of Summer. Our 50+ crew is changing the way we think of celebrating the summer months.

Hey, do not forget to cool off with our signature drinks, jazz music and good conversation during our Wind Down Wednesdays. Remember if there is a game you like to play bring it and I am sure there are few folks up for the challenge. Have a great 4th of July and we will see you soon!

Men’s Group is back and going strong! Please join us for this fun, interactive group. The group meets on 4th Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. All male members of FiftyForward are welcome.



Catholic Charities meets here at Knowles the last Wednesday of every month.

The members interact with our Knowles members in exercise class and bingo!

Feel free to come join us for a game of bingo. If you can’t join us but have new items you would like to donate as prizes for this event, see Kim or Reghan.

Thank you for your friendship. It feels so good to hear the love and concern that our members have for one another. We have many members ill and others we have lost this year. The love and concern you have shown has helped to brighten the hearts and minds of our members and their loved ones.

Reghan’s Remarks We are officially in the middle of the summer months! July is here, which means so are the July programs here at the FiftyForward Knowles Center! We are kicking this month off with a 4th of July CELEBRATION so come out on July 2nd and enjoy lunch and entertainment with friends! We WILL BE CLOSED on Wednesday, July 4th for the Holiday but will re-open on July 5th! Our Summer Series classes are continuing but it’s never too late to join in so, if you are interested in Summer Singing Camp or Cottage Cove please let one of the staff members know and we look forward to having you join in! The Aging Mastery Program ends July 24th so those of you who are attending this program, we will follow with a Graduation at the completion of the course! This date will be announced to the class in the next couple weeks! This month we will only hold one awareness class so make sure to sign up for July 31st Cancer Awareness with Vanderbilt! We also only have one daytrip this month, which we will be heading to Brentwood to eat at the City Café on July 30th so make sure to sign up ASAP because we are going to have some fun and eat some good food!

REMINDERS Don’t Forget we will be closed for the 4th of July holiday. We will reopen on July 5, 2018. Have a great Fourth of July.

Monday, July 2, 2018 we will have our Fourth of July celebration. The cost will be $3.00 per person. Please join us for this awesome event. Our guest for the day will be Ms. Senior Tennessee. You do not want to miss this event.

Please Do NOT forget that First Monday Lunch will not be held on the first Monday in July. The date for First Monday Lunch is Monday, July 9, 2018. at 12 noon. The cost is $6.00 per person.
