Thursday, September 19 from 6 pm-10pm Join us for a fun night of Craps, Blackjack, Poker, Texas Hold ‘em, Roulette and slot machines. Don’t know how to play? The dealers will teach you! The cost is $75 per person or $125 for couples which includes two drink tickets (includes alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks), heavy hors d’oeuvres, live jazz and $10,000 in playing chips. Purchase tickets in the office or by calling 615-883-8375. Bid on fabulous Silent Auction items including hotels stays, gift cards, jewelry and more. Items will be displayed and open for bidding starting Tues., Sept. 17 during center hours. All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit FiftyForward Donelson Station’s great programming and services. Billy and Mary Tarkington will perform country classics at this month’s lunch. Billy has worked as a vocalist/ songwriter/guitarist in many top studios in Nashville. He’s performed with country legends Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Ron Price. Together the duo is an act you do not want to miss. Enjoy lunch from the Donelson Café. Senior Helpers Dementia Education Series Sept. 12, Oct. 10 & Nov. 14 at 2 pm
This three-part education series on dementia will focus on signs to look for with this progressive and degenerative brain disease and how to care for someone who has this diagnosis. Senior Helpers’ Kathy Johnson-Warner is an expert on educating families and caregivers to prepare and care for loved ones who are living with dementia. These presentations are FREE.
