Center Director Notes….
Dear Friends: The dust has finally settled on the Donelson Station Fall Festival & BBQ, raising a little more than $14,000. This includes $1,950 in Pigs, more than $1,800 from the Bargain Basement, $5,250 in sponsorships, nearly $3,000 from the Silent Auction, and at least $6,000 in food sales. Again, thanks to everyone who contributed items or volunteered. We could not have pulled it off without you!
Program Director Speaking of volunteers, I invite all volunteers to attend a reception Lisa Maddox on Nov. 16 at 2 pm. Light refreshments will be served. We thank lmaddox@fiftyforward.org you all for the support you give us in the office, at the BBQ, in the theatre and in the classrooms! SCA Administrator Typically, November is the time for membership renewal. Since Jamie London we have changed from a calendar membership to a rolling, 12jlondon@fiftyforward.org month membership; it’s a little harder to do one time renewals with a discount. Center directors and leadership are discussing ways to offer some sort of incentive. We should know something soon. Travel Coordinator The search for a morning office manager continues after two Janice Judd candidates declined offers. I hope to have someone hired soon. A jjudd@fiftyforward.org huge thank you to the staff and volunteers who have stepped up and filled the need in the interim. Janice has helped me open up Office Manager early, Lisa has stepped in the office to cover when needed, and Tanis has been juggling everything beautifully! Thank you all! Tanis Westbrook Sincerely, (afternoon) Angela Bryan twestbrook@fiftyforward.org
