Center Director Notes…. Dear Friends: Summer is winding down, but we are winding up for a great month! Hope to see you soon! Thanks again to everyone who contributed to this year’s matching campaign. We raised $6,890! This will be matched by an amazing donor and will help offset overhead (building, salaries, etc.) costs.
Program Director Another way we offset these costs is through fundraising events. Lisa Maddox lmaddox@fiftyforward.org Our biggest one is the annual BBQ, taking place Sept. 25-27. We need as much help as possible organizing the event: requesting and gathering silent auction items from area businesses, finding SCA Administrator entertainment, recruiting volunteers and more! Stop by my office Jamie London to find out how you can help or look for flyers about our next jlondon@fiftyforward.org planning meeting! Center Director Angela Bryan
Program Director Notes…. Dear Friends, August is here and our biggest fundraiser is approaching next month on Sept. 25-27! We will be on the lighter side with trips for August and September so we can prepare for the yearly BBQ! This takes a lot of time out of the staff’s schedule every year as we get ready for this 3-day event. So please be patient with the schedule the next two months. I have found an opportunity with the Grand Ole Opry to save 20% on tickets. This would give us pretty good seats for about $38 (looking at an October date). Please, see me if you are interested! I am allowed to purchase up to 8 tickets using this discount. This is a great opportunity! Don’t miss out! As always, I welcome your trip ideas and suggestions! Stop by anytime! Lisa Maddox
