BEFORE SHE AND HER FAMILY moved to Franklin, Margie Thessin was an attorney in West Virginia. But, once in Tennessee, she took a different direction — one that led her into leadership roles at both the Heritage Foundation and Historic Carnton Plantation in Franklin. In 2003, Margie co-founded Franklin on Foot, a company that offers a variety of historical walking tours in downtown Franklin, including ghost tours, civil war tours, and cemetery tours. She says, “The worst day giving a walking tour is better than the best day practicing law — and there are no bad days giving walking tours!” Also an author, Margie wrote “Ghosts of Franklin, Tennessee’s Most Haunted Town.” And we

thought: What a fun program, just in time for Halloween! Join us for lunch at 11:30 this October 19th. Margie will begin about noon. The Center provides the main course. Please bring a side dish.
