RED HATTERS ON THE MOVE IN 2015 MARCH 25: THISTLE FARMS The Red Hat Society has planned an interesting lineup of trips for 2015, starting with Thistle Farms this March 25th. Thistle Farms is the “social enterprise” of Magdalene, a unique recovery program for women. Their home page reads, “We are a community of women who have survived prostitution, trafficking, and addiction. We believe that, in the end, love is the strongest force in the world for change.”
The women of Thistle Farms create many different items at the facility in Nashville. Our group will tour their warehouse, do a little shopping in their store, and have lunch onsite at the Thistle Stop Cafe. This promises to be a very worthwhile trip. If there is time, we’ll stop by the Hotel Liquidation Store. The van will leave the Center at 8:30 am. Van fee is $7.
