“BROWN BAG REVIEW” of medicines is when you bring all of your medicines to the pharmacist to review. This practice can identify medicine errors and misunderstandings that would otherwise be overlooked. Our friendly pharmacists from Walgreens will be here to review our medicines on Thurs., March 22, from 9 to 11.

The thing is, in order for the brown bag review to work, the pharmacist must know everything you take. Please bring all of your prescription and over-the-counter medicines, as well as vitamins, supplements, herbal medicines, topicals, liquids, injectibles and inhalants. There is no charge for this review. Maximum 12 people.

How does our brain respond to hearing loss? Dr. Elizabeth Welch will share facts about the link between hearing loss and your health, and provide tips for improving your quality of life. Join us Thursday, March 8. Please make lunch reservations by Tuesday, March 6.

Richard Westgate is the Director of Williamson Medical Center’s Emergency Dept. We learned some useful information from a recent column he wrote on the “Top 5 things you need to know before your next trip to the emergency room,” and invited him to share these details with us in the center. Richard will be here Thurs., March 29. God forbid we have to go to the ER. But, if we do, the information in this program will be helpful. Please make lunch reservations by Tues., March 27.

Friday, March 16 ♦ 1 to 3 p.m. Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day & our new bus! Make a donation for a chance to name the bus! Winner will receive a goody bag. Refreshments will be served!

The youth group at Triune Methodist Church has invited us back this year for a luncheon on Good Friday, March 30th. As before, they will guide us through the wonderful prayer stations they’ve created before we go downstairs to lunch. The van will leave the Center at 10:45 a.m. Van fee is $2. Note: If you plan to drive on your own, please sign up as you ordinarily would so that we can give the church a headcount.

The Fabulous 50s Show is an annual production in Fayetteville with 1950s music, comedy and skits. We announced this as a “pop up” trip in early February — mainly because our deadline to accept payment is Thurs., Mar. 1. Admission to the show is $15. There are still a few waitlist seats remaining. Reservations are confirmed when Libby receives payment. Deadline is March 1. Van fee is $13. The van will leave the Center at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 24.
