the residents seem to really enjoy. Many sing along. Afterwards, the group will head to GraceWorks for some thrift shopping, and then to Chick-fil-A for lunch. The van will leave the Center at 9:30. Van fee is: $5.

What a wonderful opportunity to give back to our community. If you would rather donate money instead of purchasing an item off the list, please give your donation to a staff member. We have planned a shopping trip for the family on Dec. 8 and a “wrapping party” Dec. 9. In addition to their Christmas list, we are supplying a fuel box that will have healthy snack items for the children to snack on during the holidays like individual size cereal, fruit cups, pudding cups, crackers, fresh fruit (apples or clementines), etc. Please help make Christmas special for this family.

If you came with us last year, you know that George Shinn’s “Senior Christmas ShinnDig” is an event to attend. Once again, the ShinnDig will be held at Lipscomb University, and seniors will be treated to a scrumptious meal, followed by music from legendary performers. Charlie McCoy and Jeannie Seely - who were great last year - will perform again. Plus! Country group The Whites have been added to the lineup!
Mr. Jingle’s Christmas Clause is about Jerry Jingle, who is not the celebrating sort, and whose Christmas Eve is interrupted by a host of “not-so-heavenly” beings who find their way to his humble hotel. Commotion ensues with mistaken identities, madcap adventures, robbery and, of course, true love — all in the midst of the biggest snowstorm since 1947! Travel with us to Dickson on Dec. 18th for this delightful musical comedy.

Shelly McMullan and Deana Rothwell own and operate Ma’Bella. They create all natural goat milk soaps, lotions and laundry powder. You can buy their products through local grocers, as well as from their storefront in Eagleville. This Dec. 10, Shelly and Deana will tell us about their products, and about the path that led them to Ma’Bella. Please make reservations for lunch by Tues., Dec. 8.

As you probably know, we have adopted a family from College Grove Elementary for Christmas. We thought it would be nice if a group of us went shopping together for this family, and have set Tuesday, Dec. 8, as the date. You may want to do some of your own holiday shopping while we’re out! We will go to Walmart and Target in Cool Springs, and stop some place good for lunch. Sarah is going to waive the van fee for this trip. The Van will leave the Center at 9 a.m.
