The first native Americans arrived in Williamson County at least 14,000 years ago during the end of the last ice age. Over thousands of years these first Tennesseans and their ancestors left behind a rich archaeological record — ranging from mastodon butchering sites to villages and earthen mound complexes. Prehistoric archaeologist, Aaron Deter-Wolf, will join us for Potluck this month to discuss some of the archaeological sites and excavations in the vicinity of College Grove.
Plan to be at the Center on August 19th for this fascinating program! Lunch is at 11:30, and Aaron will begin about noon. The Center provides the main course. Please bring a side dish.

The morning horse show is all the more fun when everyone tries to predict the winner in each class. On the way out, we will drive through the grounds to see the decorated barns.
Red Hatters will conclude the day’s activities with a fine lunch at Legends Steakhouse in Shelbyville. Mmm Mmm good! The van leaves the Center at 9. Van fee is $6
