Centered & Connected Update for June 2020 FiftyForward Donelson Station Dear FiftyForward Donelson members, We hope you are all staying safe and healthy and doing as well as possible during this time we are in. We wanted to share with you that Janice Judd, Travel Coordinator, and Melanie Pennington, Afternoon Office Assistant, will no longer be working for FiftyForward. They will really be missed on the FiftyForward staff team, but we are happy to report that Janice will continue to teach her low-impact aerobics class and Melanie will be working for The Larry Keeton Theatre once they are back up and running. So, you will still get to see both ladies when the center opens. We certainly do miss you and look forward to when we are all able to return to FiftyForward centers safely. We cannot be back together yet for programs inside our centers, but we certainly want to stay connected as well as we can. This month each of our centers is hosting a special Beep-and-Greet “drive-thru” event. We hope you can swing through and say hello! We will practice safe social distancing protocols, so wear your mask, take a drive through the parking lot, and give us a wave. You are welcome to join any of the drive-thru events scheduled at the centers, details in the newsletter. Our FiftyForward Donelson “Beep and Greet” will be on Thursday, June 25 from 11 a.m.—1 p.m. Staff will be outside in their Hawaiian themed outfits greeting you at a safe distance with some fun giveaways (while supplies last). Dress in your favorite Hawaiian shirt so we can take pictures as you “drive-thru.” We hope to see you there! As a bonus, The Donelson Café will be open for you to purchase lunch that day - although the center will not be. In other news, each spring we send out our FiftyForward Membership Survey because your feedback is very important to us. This survey provides important information for FiftyForward staff and center Advisory Councils about the ways we can best serve you. Your opinions and input mean a lot to us, and this year we updated the survey to include questions about access to technology, virtual programming, COVID concerns, re-opening, and general demographics. Our hope is that we can learn more about what we can do to support, champion, and enhance your life!
