Women in Nashville History Tabitha Mundy visited Fifty Forward Bordeaux from the Lab and the Music City Cleaners. The Lab is a collective co-working space based in the Historic Germantown district, the LAB provides the tools necessary to support its members’ success at an affordable rate. With a culture that lends itself to entrepreneurship and creativity, the LAB accommodates various types of businesses, start-ups and industries. To support their members and the Greater Nashville community, they offer mentorships, assorted courses and amenities to assist in the development and retention of solid and sustainable businesses. We contacted the Lab for information regarding their training and potential partnership to utilize their space for our many celebrations, meetings, speakers and facilitated trainings. The Music City Cleaners is adjacent to the Lab and is located in the heart of Germantown at 624 B Jefferson St, it is a pickup and delivery service. Since, the majority of our members don’t have reliable transportation, Tabitha has agreed to house a rack from the cleaners for drop off and pick up services for our members here at FFB.

Celebrating Women in Nashville Continued Tunisia Scott, visited FiftyForward Bordeaux today, speaking to FFB about Minority Pages. Tunisia, acquired a 25-year-old publication formerly known as The Tennessee Black Pages a Middle Tennessee treasure. With this passing of a legacy, Tunisia gave the company a brand overhaul which included a name change. Tunisia Scott’s leadership has reached all minorities and serves Tennessee’s increased climate of diversity and inclusion by way of the Tennessee Minority Pages. Her mission is to be a “Powerful Voice in the Community: Bridging the Gap in Diversity, Culture, and Business.”

Celebrating Women in Nashville Continued Marty and Taria Long both came to celebrate with FiftyForward Bordeaux for Marti Gras! Taria was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Taria Lee has taken the country music world by storm. In her latest release, “Unfall” describes the anxieties that come with a new romantic relationship. It’s a scary, exciting and overwhelming whirlwind of emotions. But Taria’s musical journey got started more than a few years ago. At just 9 years old, she was bitten by the performing bug. After receiving a karaoke machine for Christmas, she never left home without it. Soon, singing became a crucial component of Taria’s everyday routine. As if that wasn’t surreal enough for Taria, she was introduced to Opry audience members by one of her favorite country music singers, Lorrie Morgan. After receiving a standing ovation for her rendition of “I Want To Be A Cowboy’s Sweetheart,” Taria was invited to travel and open live shows for Morgan the following year. Then, at 19, Taria was sharing the stage with Conway Twitty’s son and grandson, Michael and Tre Twitty, for a tribute show titled “Memories of Conway.” Taking on the role of Loretta Lynn, Taria was singing the duets Twitty and Lynn had together. Catch my good friend Taria Long at Whiskey Bent Saloon every Thursday night 6-10pm. She’s amazing!!!!
