FiftyForward corporate partner Dollar General hosted a lively session of bingo for members of FiftyForward Bordeaux.

They provided a wonderful selection of prizes and brought along 14 volunteers who were in Nashville as part of an HR Council Leadership conference. Volunteers and members all had a great time! We are always appreciative of the many ways that Dollar General supports the work of FiftyForward. See more photos on page 2.

MEMBERSHIP New and existing FiftyForward members are being asked to complete brand new applications for 2018. These forms have some additional information needed for record keeping purposes mandated by our funding agencies.

Dorothy Deloris Williams Hall is the first born of six children. Mrs. Hall graduated from Pearl High School. She had a four year apprenticeship at Werthan’s Corporation. She later worked for the AMEC Sunday School Board and then for Genesco Graphic in Nashville. From 3/1/99 to 2007 Mrs. Hall worked at 100 Oaks as an Office Assistance and this was her most enjoyable job.

She has four children and grandchildren. She joined FiftyForward in 2017. Mrs. Hall hobbies are crochet, and canvas painting.

The Aging Mastery Program (AMP) encourages mastery developing behaviors across many dimensions that will lead to improving health, stronger financial security, and overall wellbeing. Members from the FiftyForward Bordeaux Center will be traveling to the Madison Center on April 6– May 18th for the AMP program.

Ingredients



.6 bell peppers green,

red, yellow or orange



1 1/2 pounds lean

ground beef



1 medium onion diced



2 garlic cloves minced



1 can diced tomatoes

28 oz



1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp paprika



2 cups cooked rice

3 tbsp fresh parsley

Stuffed Bell Peppers 1.Preheat oven to 350F.

2.Cut the top off the peppers and clean the inside by removing the seeds and membrane. Place in a baking dish.

3.Brown the ground beef on medium heat, using a wooden spoon to break the meat into small pieces. Drain the grease.

4.Stir in the onion, garlic and diced tomatoes. Continue to cook until the onions are transparent, about 7-8 minutes.

5.Remove the cooked beef from heat and stir in the remaining ingredients.

6.Spoon the stuffing mixture into the peppers.

7. Cover the peppers with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake another 20 minutes.
