Letter from the Center Director We are excited to announce the pool tables have been resurfaced. The new, Championship Blue, felt falls right in line with our mission: FiftyForward supports, champions, and enhances life for those 50 and older. We hope you will stop by and join in on game or two! We believe that a cup of coffee shared with friends is happiness tasted and time well spent. So, we have been researching new ways to bring coffee to the center to share with you. We think we have found a perfect match and want to get your feedback. Please just us for the coffee tasting this month and tell us what you think! More details inside.

At the end of July I attended the Community Breakfast hosted by the Madison-Rivergate Area Chamber of Commerce. It is annual event that honors our First Responders. One of the things I loved while at the event was seeing several of our FiftyForward Madison Station members there too! I invite you all attend the informative and fun community events in Madison. Keep an eye on our Community Corner section of the newsletter and our Community Board in the lobby to see what is happening next! — Brandy Lamb, Center Director

Letter from the Program Director August is jam-packed with fun, food, and information. In fact, there are only two days on the calendar where no special events or trips are planned! Also, note that Election Day is Thursday, August 2 so the center will be hoppin’ plus Tuesday, August 7 Metro Schools are back in session so traffic will increase all around town. I am very excited that we have partnered with Insight Counseling to bring a new support group here. If you’ve experienced a ‘Life Transition’ (and all of us have!), this group is for you. See inside for details. I’m also glad Deloitte Tech has agreed to come back for technology training, which is requested frequently. And you won’t want to miss Lisa Spencer here for Tasty Tuesday this month. Get our your pens and calendars and mark all these great events down so you don’t miss them! —Julie Reeves, Program Director
