TEAM OF THE WEEK: PURDUE BOILERMAKERS Purdue beat College Football Playoff contender and #2 Ohio State, 49-20. The game started off slow with four straight punts but, after a 98-yard touchdown drive, Purdue hit its stride. After a missed field goal by Ohio State that would have made it 7-6, the Boilermakers took it 80-yards the other way for a touchdown to close the first half. In the second half, Purdue was able to stay on top of the Buckeyes, scoring 35 points to Ohio State’s 17.

Purdue will go to Michigan State this week.

In the ninth week of the 2013 season, No. 21 South Carolina beat No. 5 Missouri 27-24 in a double overtime showdown. Missouri started off hot, scoring 17 unanswered points in the first three quarters but South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw came off the bench and orchestrated a 17-point fourth quarter comeback to send the game to overtime. Each team traded touchdowns in overtime before South Carolina made a 40-yard field goal to take the lead and complete the comeback.

In this episode, Notre Dame beat Navy, 22-7.

Notre Dame was in control of this game from start to finish, scoring 22 unanswered points and only allowing Navy to complete one pass all day.

Notre Dame stuck to its winning formula as the Irish ran the ball for 267 yards while their fierce defense gave up only 192 total yards.
