TEAM OF THE WEEK: OHIO STATE BUCKEYES With the Big Ten East Division title and a potential spot in the College Football Playoff on the line, No. 10 Ohio State crushed No. 4 Michigan, 62-39.

At the end of the first half, the game looked competitive with the Buckeyes leading 24-19.

However, Ohio State turned it on in the second half, stealing all the momentum to score 17 straight points, making it 41-19. The Wolverines scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter but Ohio State kept pace with Michigan and held onto a big lead, clinching the Big Ten East title. This week, the No. 6 Buckeyes will face No. 21 Northwestern in Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship.

THIS WEEK IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY: DECEMBER 3, 2016 In the Conference Championship week of the 2016 season, No. 7 Penn State came back from 21 points to beat No. 6 Wisconsin for the Big Ten Championship, 38-31. The game was all Wisconsin early as the Badgers took a 28-7 lead with 5:15 left in the first half. The Nittany Lions didn’t lie down though as the team scored three straight touchdowns to tie the game, 28-28, with 4:22 left in the third quarter. Wisconsin did hit a 23-yard field goal late in the third quarter but the Badgers couldn’t stop Penn State’s offense from scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter. This win not only secured the Nittany Lions first outright conference title since 1994, it also set up a matchup with No. 9 USC in the Rose Bowl.
