TEAM OF THE WEEK: OKLAHOMA STATE COWBOYS Oklahoma State defended its home field, upsetting No. 9 West Virginia, 45-41.

The Mountaineers started off strong in the first half, scoring 31 to the Cowboys’ 14. Oklahoma State didn’t stay down for long as the team scored 10 unanswered points in the third to make it 31-24. Trailing 41-31 in the fourth quarter, Oklahoma State rallied with two touchdowns in the last five minutes, including one with 42 seconds left in the game to break West Virginia’s playoff hopes. The Cowboys will be on the road this week at TCU.

ESPN College GameDay will head Columbus, Ohio, for the Big Ten matchup between No. 4 Michigan and No. 10 Ohio State. Previously, the Buckeyes won at Penn State and beat TCU at AT&T Stadium.

THIS WEEK IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY: NOVEMBER 23, 2013 In the 13th week of the 2013 season, No. 5 Oregon was decimated

by Arizona, losing 42-16. Arizona stepped on the gas pedal and left Oregon at the starting line, scoring 28 points in the first half while holding the high-powered Oregon offense to only nine points thanks to Oregon’s three turnovers. Arizona cruised through the second half, scoring 14 more points to complete the upset and end Oregon’s chance of making the BCS Championship Game.

In this episode, Notre Dame beat USC, 27-10.

With 93,829 fans watching in the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, Notre Dame completed its undefeated regular season in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown.

The Fighting Irish grabbed the lead off a 65-yard touchdown run from Tony Rice and never looked back. The defense did its part to bury the Trojans, forcing four turnovers, one of which set up a touchdown drive, while Stan Smagala took his interception for a touchdown late in the first half. With this win, the Fighting Irish secured its trip to Arizona for the opportunity to play in the Fiesta Bowl.
