FOR FIESTA BOWL WISHES FOR TEACHERS The 2018-19 Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers program has a new presenting title sponsor with DriveTime, the nation’s second largest vehicle retailer that’s focused solely on used vehicles.

DriveTime will also be integrated into the first-ever Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers Draft Day on October 25. The announcement came as part of a community service project at Justine Spitalny Elementary School in the Cartwright School District, school of a past Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers grant recipient.

The Fiesta Bowl organization has been named a finalist for the third annual Corporate Philanthropy Award by the Phoenix Business Journal. The award is to celebrate and recognize companies for their community service and corporate giving.

GENERAL TICKETS NOW ON SALE Individual tickets and ticket packages for the 48TH Annual PlayStation速 Fiesta Bowl and 30TH Annual Cheez-It速 Bowl are now on sale to the general public. Ticket prices for the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl start at $95, and the Cheez-It Bowl prices start as low as $25. DRAFT DAY ON OCT. 25 On October 25, Wishes for Teachers will give out up to $1 million to 200 Arizona teachers during the first-ever Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers Draft Day at the Fiesta Bowl Museum. Prominent members of the Arizona community will pick at random and 200 teachers will be called and congratulated on receiving $5,000 to fulfil their classroom wish.

Foursomes for the Wells Fargo Fiesta Bowl Par 3 Challenge, presented by Kadima.Ventures are still available. Join us at the Short Course at Mountain Shadows for a chance to win cash, cars and a shot at $1 million. All proceeds go to support Fiesta Bowl Charities. Each foursome is $3,000.

Favorite Job: The pregame party. You’re standing there on a beautiful Arizona

day in the middle of the best bowl tailgate in America anticipating a great college football game.

Fun Fact: Sailed on the “Cutty Sark” tall ship from Scotland to Germany with Polish sailors in training.

Why do you volunteer for the Fiesta Bowl: The Fiesta Bowl is one of the great

ambassadors for the development of the Valley. So many, like myself, have seen or

participated in this game and eventually live or vacation in Arizona because of it. To now serve as a representative of the bowl is very gratifying and fun.

On average, 160,000 children skip school every day in the United States because they are bullied. In an effort to stop this bad behavior, anti-bullying programs have been started all throughout the country to educate children on how to properly handle their unsatisfactory actions toward others. Playworks is a national nonprofit that helps children develop their social and emotional skills that are needed to be successful in life. To help with their initiative, Fiesta Bowl Charities gave Playworks a grant during the 2017-18 grant cycle.
