PolyPlant® is a new, innovative fiber that looks, feels, and acts like polyester. A fiber that shares the well-known and widely appreciated qualities of polyester, while not sharing its negative impact on the environment.

100% biobased Unlike traditional polyester, PolyPlant® is 100% biobased. It is made from non-GMO sugarcane grown in Thailand, where the initial refinement process also takes place.

PLA in a new and better way PolyPlant® is based on the well-tested PLA technology. Thanks to a unique additive, we have managed to enhance performance and address the flaws of ordinary PLA materials. The result is a product that is both ductile, elastic, and suitable for a large range of applications.

And since it is based on PLA it can easily be scaled and integrated into existing production setups.

PolyPlant® life cycle PolyPlant® is fully recyclable and commercially compostable. At the same time, it is 100% biodegradable* in landfill and ocean water. This makes a significant improvement in circularity compared to traditional oil-based polyester.
