Thank you, 117th Church and 45th Pastoral Anniversaries Committee! Thank you, FIBC Staff! What a
God glorifying, September we experienced under the theme “A PASTOR AND PEOPLE CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF GOD’S GOOD NEWS IN A LOVING, TRANSFORMING, ENGAGING AND PRESERVING RELATIONSHIP!” As I preached in my message on Sunday, September 18, 2022, “God and I celebrate you, FIBC, because you are a reason for our thanksgiving and joy; because you have been partners with us for decades; because you have both a special place in us and special favor from God; and I pray to God for you to OVERFLOW in LOVING, TRANSFORMING, ENGAGING AND PRESERVING GOD’S GOOD NEWS BEYOND 117 YEARS!”
Once again you showered Pastor Karen, our family and me with love, support, prayers, thanksgiving and abundant generosity Much obliged, FIBC! The Governance Council in paying off the balance of the mortgage on the 1153 W. Jefferson Street property made us a debt free church again. On the last weekend in September, the community joined us in the unveiling of the Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr. Way at the corners of 12th and Jefferson Streets as well as joined us for the community wide SeptemberFest when we honored Valley police and fire departments in memory of the 21st anniversary of 9/11/2001.
This month, our October 2022 FIBC Theme Focus is A PASTOR AND PEOPLE CHAMPIONING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF MEN OF GOD!” We look forward to recognizing, encouraging and honoring our men and boys for their commitment, strength, sacrifices and successes as members of the Body of Christ, and particularly, FIBC. Please invite the men and boys in your lives to join us in person or virtually for our Sunday worship services beginning on October 2, 2022.
Keep the faith and be encouraged!
