TALK OF THE TOWN

Greetings, FIBC and Friends,

Spring is making its way into our lives even though the weather is a little “wishy-washy” these days. But God is always steady and stable in our lives, especially when we trust the One who “is the same yesterday, today and forever.” In addition, HOLY WEEK 2023 is knocking on our doors about to enter our lives. The 2023 FIBC Theme Focus for April is—LET’S SHIFT TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE LORD’S “BUT” WITH THE RESURRECTED CHRIST LIVING IN US!

This indicates the Power of the Resurrection for our everyday lives. Death in any form does not, will not and cannot speak the last word over us, period. Ain’t that Good News! Speaking of the Resurrection, the Lord has been adding new people to FIBC for the last several Sundays consecutively. There’s nothing like an infusion of freshness in a congregation. It means that today and tomorrow are loaded with promise and possibility. However, that does not leave those of us who have been around for a while out of the picture. Absolutely not! We have recruits. We have help. We have new ideas. We have a growing church. That’s why I am enthused and excited about what God is doing among us. Please join us for our HOLY WEEK worship services in-person and virtually. Bring the family and/or loved ones. Invite both friends and strangers. God is confirming that being on the right side of the Lord’s “BUT” is the best place to be in our left-sided world.

Keep the faith and be encouraged!
