Why I went to Mongolia • • • • • •

It has a stunning fauna and landscapes You can experience its nature by just leaving the Capital City You can see and feel the change of nomadic life to urbanisation, that may won’t be possible in the future You can be part of interesting projects that can improve the hard life of the Mongolians You can test yourself if you can survive the extreme climate conditions, I experienced -30°C There is always and everywhere an adventure waiting for you

• Die zwei größten Projekte waren einerseits ein Photovoltaik Projekt, für welches ich sehr eng mit der Firma Edison Energy zusammen gearbeitet habe um das Ziel der Universität und der Stadt Buffalo umzusetzen. Diese planen in den nächsten Jahren 100 MW Photovoltaik-Anlagen zu installieren und meine Aufgabe bestand darin geeignete Standorte zu finden und deren Anschlussmöglichkeiten zu bestimmen.

• Das zweite Projekt war ein Kleinwindkraftprojekt, für welches ich Kleinwindkraft-Anlagen mit Photovoltaik-Anlagen auf energetischer und wirtschaftlicher Sicht verglichen habe.

Alles in allem kann ich ein Praktikum in Buffalo sehr empfehlen und wĂźrde es jederzeit wieder absolvieren sollte sich die MĂśglichkeit dazu ergeben!
