How YOU help make quality education possible

In Colombia, many students discover their learning gaps only when it’s too late —

often by the time they take the Saber test in high school. At Fundación Hogar Nueva Granada, we believe in acting early.

That’s why we use a proven model called MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) to make sure no student is left behind. This system helps us identify learning needs early, adjust lessons, and give personalized support to those who need it most.

How we do it We screen students regularly with tools like IDEL (for Spanish) and Acadience (for Math and English).

We analyze the results to find learning gaps in reading, writing, and math.

We design targeted tutoring sessions (MTSS Level 2) for students who need a little extra help to succeed.

40% of students in vulnerable areas of Colombia don’t reach basic levels in math and reading, and by age 10, over 60% don’t understand what they read.

Thanks to Eduardo Montoya, a CNG student volunteer, Juan Felipe Sierra made great strides in reading.

Juan Felipe’s score in the IDEL test jumped +7.3 points to 59.3 of 85.
